PCB student wanting to get into management consulting looking for advice
So over these 2 years I have realized that being a doctor isnt what I wish to do and doesnt align with my life goals.
I have researched career pathways and wish to get into management consulting, I have seen its pros and cons , and I know the work life balance is a bit crazy (not as the same level as ib but yeah little bit) and the work culture is insane , but despite that I think I want to get into that career pathway , because
- I like decision making and problem solving
- I like meeting new people and being in boardrooms
- It also has a good exit options , I heard that even if you want to get some other job , then having worked as management consultant helps.
- I think it will help me network with people , because I wish to start my business later on in my life.
Now I also know that if you want to get into management consulting , you need to be from top b schools , but I couldnt register for ipmat because I came to know about it after the registrations were already closed.
I have a shot at NPAT for now , I can register and all , but I have very few days left so I dont really know what to do.
If there are any universities outside that you'll would suggest me would work too, but I would need scholarship.
My father has already enrolled me into aakash coaching because he wants me to try one for neet by taking a drop , but I dont want to take a drop, I dont like that idea of drop itself and I dont want to live at home for a year either. But I'd still like your opinions on what I shall do.
