Solve Cyber Security Crime using Word Search Puzzles

I built a free Cybersecurity Awareness puzzle collection and would love feedback.

Over the past few weeks I've been creating interactive word search puzzles around topics like phishing, passwords, MFA, ransomware, social engineering and online safety. Some puzzles include hidden messages, and I'm also experimenting with multi-puzzle clue challenges where solving each puzzle reveals part of a larger investigation.

My goal is to make cybersecurity awareness a little more engaging for students, classrooms and awareness events.

I'd love to know:

  • Which topics should I add next?
  • Are the clue-based puzzles more interesting than traditional word searches?
  • Would something like this be useful for Cybersecurity Awareness Month?

You can try them here:

Feedback is appreciated!

Startup founders: Want a free interactive puzzle page for your product?

Most startup directories look exactly the same.

So I'm trying something weird.

Post your startup URL below and I'll create a playable word-search puzzle based on your product.

People solve the puzzle, discover your product terms, and unlock a hidden message that links back to your site.

If enough founders participate, I'll put everyone on a giant Startup Puzzle Wall and share it here.

Drop:

  • Name
  • URL
  • One-line pitch

I'll start building them today.

Show me your startup and I'll turn it into a playable word-search puzzle

Hi founders,

I'm running a small experiment.

I built a tool that turns words into playable word-search puzzles with a hidden message at the end.

I've started creating puzzle pages for startups, where visitors can discover your product by solving a short puzzle.

Here's what I'll do:

✅ Visit your website
✅ Pick 10–20 words related to your product
✅ Create a custom puzzle page
✅ Add it to a public Startup Puzzle Wall
✅ Reply with the puzzle link

No cost, no signup, no catch.

Just drop:

  • Startup name
  • Website URL
  • One sentence describing what you do

I'm curious whether people engage with startups more when they discover them through a game instead of a traditional directory.

Let's find out.

Built a free word search creator where solving the puzzle unlocks a secret message

I built a tiny word search generator for fun.

Then users completely changed the direction of the project.

https://wordbulb.com/puzzle-games/word-search/create

The original idea was simple:
Create custom word searches online.

But then I added a “hidden message reveal” after the puzzle is solved.

Now people are making:

  • proposal puzzles
  • scavenger hunt clues
  • escape room sequences
  • teacher worksheets
  • Bible study challenges
  • anniversary surprises
  • family game night puzzles

The coolest part is watching users invent use cases I never even imagined.

One person suggested chaining puzzles together so each solved puzzle reveals the URL for the next one.

Still free.
No signup required.

Curious what weird/fun uses Reddit can come up with.

Built a massive library of Bible Word search Printables - Free to export PDF

Hi All,

I’ve been working on a free Bible word search puzzle project in my spare time and recently expanded it into a pretty large collection organized by themes like faith, prayer, encouragement, healing, wisdom, forgiveness, anxiety, hope, and memory verses.

The goal was to make scripture memorization and Bible study feel a little more interactive and relaxing for kids, families, church groups, and even adults.

Here is the link to the collection of puzzles.

NOTE: Each puzzle can be freely exported to PDF printables

Turns out personalized word searches are weirdly popular

“This started as a simple puzzle tool…”

That sentence basically explains my last few weeks.

I originally built this as an internal tool for my mobile word search game:
https://wordbulb.com/puzzle-games/word-search/create

But after adding secret message reveals, it turned into something else entirely.

People are now using it for:

  • marriage proposals
  • classroom games
  • treasure hunts
  • mystery puzzle chains
  • Bible memorization
  • birthday party activities
  • language learning

The funniest thing is that users keep giving me better ideas than I had myself.

Current features:

  • custom words
  • hidden messages
  • PDF export
  • multilingual puzzles
  • shareable links
  • mobile-friendly gameplay

Still 100% free right now.

Would honestly love feedback or crazy ideas for where this could go next.

I built a small browser-based simulation of flocking behavior using the classic boids rules (alignment, cohesion, separation).

This is a minimal version with some basic interaction to influence movement.

Video:

I’m thinking about whether this can be turned into a simple game mechanic (formations, predator-prey, etc).
Would be interested in any ideas or feedback.
