Free Local Resource

If anyone in Eugene or Lane County is starting to look into senior living or care options for a parent, grandparent, or loved one, I wanted to share a local resource that might be helpful.
My mom runs Loving Care Senior Referral Service and helps families navigate their options and find care communities that may be a good fit. Her assistance is completely free to families, and she can help answer questions, explain different options, and connect you with communities.
I know this can be a really overwhelming process when you don’t know where to start, so I wanted to share her information in case it helps someone.
You can also find her listing in the Lane Senior Guide:

Amazon nursery chair??

I have bought two Amazon chairs and returned both. Thank god for porch pick up.. I have narrowed down a couple features that I would like to have. Wide arms and a power chair. The last two were very hard to put down being pregnant so I can’t imagine trying to close the leg rest with a sleeping baby. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Looking to spend up to $400. Or if you know of a manual one that you really like I could still be persuaded. Tyia

Amazon bedside bassinet

When I was creating my registry, I just added a quick bassinet off of Amazon to make sure I had one on there, but someone had bought it for me fairly quick. Has anyone tried this bassinet? I already have a Newton crib set up in his nursery and will only use this for the first few months. Do we think it’s safe or should I invest in a better one?

Crib & Mattress

I was set on the Newton Galileo crib and mattress combo and it does come with the conversion kit so I figured he could use it into his toddler years. It is $600 so I’m on the fence. The other cribs I have looked up would still only really save me about $100 since I still want a newton mattress. Do you have any other recommendations or combinations that you’ve loved or is this a good investment?

FTM Stroller and CarSeats!?

I was set on the UppaBaby Vista V3 and the Mesa V3 car seat but now I’m thinking I want to go with the MockingBird Single to Double 3.0 and pair with the Mesa V3 car seat. I have watched a few comparisons and it seems to be better later on if we have another baby soon. Also with adding all the extras, adapters, insert and bassinet it still ends up being about 200$ less than the uppa travel system. Let me know your experiences with either brand!

Anatomy Scan! 20 week 3 days!

We had our anatomy scan today and we were able to see pretty much everything besides some of the diaphragm and some of his profile. They didn’t ask us to come back for any further imaging, but they also didn’t tell us what percentile he is in. Is that normal? They said he is growing on track. I feel like I didn’t ask enough questions. Happy to hear that he is growing and I was excited to see him as I am a ftm! Due date is 10/19 💙
