I’m looking for a good pair of ANC headphones with great sound quality, mainly for watching movies. I want something that’s immersive and fun to listen to, with clear dialogue, punchy bass, and a wide soundstage. Good spatial audio is a bonus if it actually makes a difference. Comfort is also important since I’ll be wearing them for long sessions. Budget isn’t really an issue, so I’m just looking for the best overall recommendations. What would be the best pick here?

I just got the Bose QC Ultra (2nd Gen) from Amazon a week ago. I switched from the AirPods Max (2nd Gen), whose sound I absolutely loved, but I found them far too uncomfortable for long listening sessions. That’s why I moved to the Bose.

However, I’m finding that the Bose doesn’t deliver the sound I’m looking for. I prefer a presentation that is airy, rich, detailed, and engaging while still maintaining excellent comfort. I mainly use my headphones for music and watching movies, and I rarely use them outdoors, so ANC is only my third priority.

For devices, I use an iPhone 12 Pro, an iPad, and a Windows laptop. I also already own the AirPods Pro 2, which I use when I’m outside, so portability and maximum ANC are not major concerns for me.

I’m looking for something that can get me closer to the rich, spacious, and detailed sound I enjoyed from the AirPods Max while being significantly more comfortable for extended listening sessions.

My priorities are:
Sound quality
Comfort
ANC
