I just wanted to ask regarding the membership. If you got the 200 AED membership, can you use it in ALL of Dubai Public Library branches? Can you also use it in MBRL or do you have to pay separately? Thank you!
I feel sumakses sa life is the right flair even if I haven’t accepted the job offer yet because bagging a job in this market/current situation in UAE is already a big deal. I have been here sa Dubai for about 6 months and is staying with my mom who’s working here for years. I’m actively seeking for jobs around dubai pero nagkagera and nagbabawas ng tao sa work. Yet unexpectedly, I received this job offers in Abu Dhabi. Wala pala kasi sa Dubai ang hinahanap ko hahaha. The offer was decent yet I have to relocate and live alone. I have lived by myself for a few years when I was in the PH pero this is my first time to live alone in a different country. I have to work on my social skills huhu. I’m good with speaking/fluent in English pero introvert talaga ako at madalas napagkakamalan na mataray/suplada because I’m too shy to approach first. Help! Hahaha. Ito na ang tunay na adulting…scary yet exciting!

I’m currently in Dubai actively looking for work, and I recently received a job offer in Abu Dhabi. The initial offer was 8,000 AED, but after negotiation, I was able to bring it up to 10,000 AED per month.
Now I’m trying to realistically assess if this is enough to live comfortably in Abu Dhabi, considering rent, transportation, and food. I would most likely need to relocate from Dubai, so accommodation will be a major factor for me.
For anyone living in Abu Dhabi (especially healthcare or similar roles), is 10,000 AED manageable? Or will it feel very tight once rent and daily expenses are included?
Would really appreciate honest advice or personal experiences. Thank you in advance!

I felt really cozy while reading this. I really enjoy Ghibli stories.
At first, Sophie is quiet and accepts her life as it is, but after the curse, she slowly changes. What I liked is that she doesn’t just become “younger” again to feel better, she actually becomes more confident and honest as she is.
Howl is entertaining but also a bit frustrating. He’s dramatic, avoids responsibility, and hides behind his personality a lot. But at the same time, you can still see that he cares in his own way. He’s not simple to figure out, which makes him interesting.
The romance is subtle and slow. It’s not the main focus, but more like something that grows quietly in the background. I just wish there was a bit more emotional build-up between Sophie and Howl.
Still, the charm of the story really carries it. The castle, Calcifer, and the magical chaos inside all make it feel alive in a very cozy way.

I’m planning to start my very first commonplace book and I’m honestly excited… but also a little lost.
I originally wanted a grid notebook, but I can’t seem to find one in our local stores. What I did find are A4 notebooks that already have an index page and page numbers, so I’m thinking of just using that instead. Problem is… I don’t really know how to actually use the index 😭
For context, these are the things I’m really into and want to include:
- Greek mythology (I love researching different mythological characters)
- Stardew Valley (I kinda want to write random trivia about characters and lore)
- Crime documentaries, especially serial killers
- Historical figures and random facts
I’d really love to see how you guys set up your indexes. Any tips, sample index layouts, or even photos would help a lot. I just want to start this right without overthinking it too much.
