Inspired

23 years ago I picked up my first ever guitar, an all black Fender Squier. Blink was THE reason why I wanted to play. Every day after school and on the weekends I'd spend endless hours on LimeWire (definitely not ripping blink albums) and teaching myself how to play their songs. That guitar and those endless bedroom nights lit a passion deep within me to start making music. Unfortunately, life has many twists and turns but I never left playing. In 2020 with the "vid" running rampant I started taking up recording and eventually mixing and sound engineering. This track was inspired by a compendium of blink songs and manifested through my vision. Not so long ago I was fortunate enough to meet a like minded musician, a drummer who became one of my best friends. We put everything into this song and pushed ourselves well outside our comfort zone; this is the culmination of all of those experiences. Please give a listen.

PRS S2 Vela

I'm relatively new to PRS. I bought a PRS Custom SE 24-08 with the TCI S pickups recently and I've gotta say it quickly became my favorite, the feel, tone, action... It's just a far superior product compared to anything else I've played. I'm considering going for the PRS S2 Vela with the 85/15s. I'm curious if anyone would know how the two would compare? Is it worth picking up or just ride with my SE for now? Thanks in advance!

Sound Check Inspired

Someone posted their version of Blinks Sound Check riff a while ago and that really got me inspired. I loved the way the octave riff moved. I spent the better part of 2 weeks writing, recording, mixing and mastering this song based on that inspiration. Please give a listen all the way through and let me know your thoughts.

Main guitars used:

TD signature series Starcaster (Intro/Octaves and verse leads)

PRS Custom 24-08 Quilt (Bridge guitars and outro lead)

Epiphone ES-335 (low end rhythm weight)

Fender P Bass (bass guitar/low end)

*Posted without vocals for full instrumental effects*

First PRS

Well, it happened. I finally pulled the trigger on a PRS. I've been eyeing one for a while and have been genuinely curious about them. After some convincing from a couple friends who sung their praises, I did it. I won't lie, it's an absolute beauty and the action on it out of the box is immaculate. I can't wait to plug 'er in and open 'er up.
