Z Fold 8 (the best way)

For anyone curious, it's actually really easy to remove the hinge protector. It's so nice being able to have the phone be flat when unfolded and laying down (and works so much better for game controllers)

Edit: in case anyone is curious, on the inside where the hinge, well, hinges, the little arch pieces are just covers, peel em back a little for access to the screws and you can remove the hinge protector with ease, then just push the covers back, slap your phone in, and you're good to go

Discord community for Millennials, Zillenials, Gen Z's (and more!)

Following up from my last post, since I didn't see one yet for people roughly in my age range, I went and made a Discord server! It's primarily for people in their 20s/30s who have just been diagnosed with, or have been living with MS for a while now, to help each other out with questions, discussions about DMTs, and in general to just make friends with others going through the same life changes we're all going through!

Here's an open invite, feel free to join!

Diagnosed today, with treatment selected, any advice?

Hi all, I (28M) was diagnosed a little over an hour ago with MS. I had already suspected it would be, as I had previously gotten an optic neuritis diagnosis from my ophthalmologist, who referred me to my neurologist that diagnosed me today.

After talking with my doc, I'm opting to start out with Kesimpta, as monthly self-administered dosages sounds fairly doable, and, even though I wasn't aware when I made my choice, it seems to be one of the treatments my insurance prefers.

Is there any advice people here would give to someone new to an MS diagnosis and taking treatments? I don't really have too much in terms of symptoms from MS aside from optic neuritis in my right eye that has healed slowly over time, the vision isn't fully better, but I still have 20/20 vision with my glasses on, and a field visions test showed my peripheral vision is still fine. Thankfully this diagnosis was done early enough that I can hopefully avoid other symptoms from appearing with treatments.

I appreciate any and all advice and comments, and hope to hear from others who are also on Kesimpta and their experience with taking the treatments.

[Game Designer][CA] 28M Salary Progression

Just kinda proud of the progress I made and where I am right now. I didn't have a straight path, I stopped college for a bit to do QA testing on Call of Duty, but it helped me make connections that I leveraged as I got close to finishing my bachelor's degree to help land my first ever game design role, also on Call of Duty. Ironically my Coffee Bean job was in the same business center as the CoD dev office, so that ALSO helped me get connections and a referral for the QA job in the first place.

Now I'm working on the biggest game that will ever release, and couldn't be happier with my job and my life. Wouldn't mind a little bit more pay, but my job is stable, and with how the game industry is right now, more than happy to make a little less than if I was at a different studio when stability is factored in.

Persistent throat gurgles for months, still GERD?

Hey all,

28M here who was diagnosed with GERD back in 2022 due to stress from work and bad eating habits.

Was given omeprazole back then as a treatment, and started taking it then. It helped get the issues to basically not exist anymore, and since then I've been taking it on and off over the years when symptoms reappear.

Back towards the end of March, late at night I started having intense pain in the stomach/lower abdomen area, which prompted me to go to the ER at like 2AM. Was unsure if it was from eating chili dogs or something else, but they gave me a CT scan, checked blood work, did an EKG, and basically said that my body seemed to be actually healthy, chalking it up to GERD, pumping me with PPIs and sending me home.

Since then, I've had persistent throat gurgles that do not go away, daily, sometimes happening as close as 10 seconds between each other, or going a couple hours between each other.

My doctor prescribed Omeprazole twice a day, as well as changing my eating habits. For a month, I was basically eating only oatmeal, bananas, bread, and chicken.

This did not stop the issues. My doctor then switched me to Pantoprazole for another month, also taken twice a day, and it still has not helped. Now, I'm taking Rabeprazole, one a day, which I started last week on Friday.

I'm at a loss for what this could be, or how to treat this or get help with this. Is this still GERD? Is it something else? It should be important to note that I experience the following, pretty much without fail:

- Laying down makes it stop entirely. This surprised my doctor, as they said this is almost never the case with GERD, yet for me, laying down on my bed stops any gurgling whatsoever, which makes sleeping rather easy, and really the only time I'm not experience the throat gurgles.

- Shortly after I wake up, I'd say maybe 15-20 minutes after, is when the gurgles start to happen again, and persist throughout the day, regardless of if I've had any food or water or anything really. I'm back to eating only oatmeal and bananas and chicken to see if this will help mitigate the symptoms further.

- I'm also taking Vyvanse at the same time, as I struggle to focus at work without stimulant meds for my ADHD. Unsure if this would affect GERD in any ways, but wanted to mention it just in case. Not that the Vyvanse is helping me much lately when the constant throat gurgles make me have to hunch over a bit and force them out when the pressure builds up again each time.

Trailer 3 Launch Speculation

John Rockstar conspiracy theorist here.

Summer starts June 21st in the USA. Rockstar's main media and HQ is in NY. Therefore, the trailer/marketing will probably drop that following week, since that's a Saturday. Additionally, if you look at the fact that the 19th, which is Juneteenth, is on a Friday, you get no additional information, I just wanted to sound even crazier.

Anyways, my money is on June 25th. Seems like the perfect day. Summer just started, it's exactly 21 weeks away from the launch, which is 3 times 7, also known as another multiplication that is irrelevant to this, BUT, an exact 21 week gap before the launch makes sense, if you think about it. 21 weeks, which is 147 days, and what does 147 days mean? Well, nothing at first, until you look at the gap between the first trailer of launch year for GTA V, and the launch day, which is, that's right, 17 weeks and 2 days, which is the same as 121 days. What are 121 and 147 to each other? Also nothing, I just wanted to mislead you and make you read more of my craziness.

Anyways, if the trailer drops on June 25th, idk, someone do a funny dance, I don't care either way, I'll just be happy I was right.

Cyclists and traffic rules

I drive down La Costa to get to the 5 every day on my morning commute, and will constantly, CONSTANTLY, see cyclists at the 3 traffic light stop before the freeway entrance just going straight through the red lights there. Why do they think they're above traffic laws? I'm fine with sharing the road, but this almost ALWAYS leads to the light turning green while they're mid red light crossing and blocking traffic and cars trying to merge into the freeway entrance lane, creating more traffic and slowdowns in the morning.

Am I just crazy? Does anyone else feel this way? Or is this just normal and I'm completely not understanding traffic rules for cyclists on the road?
