Regulars who ghost

Do you usually follow up with regulars who all of a sudden stop booking with you?

Logically I know that in most cases it’s probably due to reasons not even related to me and my service, but I can’t help but take it personally.

For example, a monthly regular of 3 years leaves a message to cancel their appointment and doesn’t ask to reschedule. Do you call them to see if they want to rebook? (I hate to bother people or seem pushy) Or do you figure they will call if they need you and just let it be.

I’m busy enough that I don’t need to chase clients, it’s more so that I’m just genuinely concerned about my clients and if they are happy with their treatments.

Cutlery/plates plastic vs ceramic

What are you all doing for dinnerware?

Plastic? Real? Is plastic tacky? It’s a roast beef supper so we don’t need steak knives.

Plastic seems more convenient? Nobody has to wash plates after.

200 person farm style wedding.

Opinions? Thanks!

Cost to finish basement

Not to sure where to post this but we are currently house hunting and thought you all would probably have a good idea!

Anybody have a ballpark estimate of what it would cost to finish a basement, approximately 1000 sq feet, in canada?

Currently Basement is framed in. 2 bedrooms, bathroom (plumbing already there), and large family room.

We would be doing mid grade finishes. Drywall, baseboards, Carpet, linoleum in bathroom, bathtub, vanity, sink.

We will get a professional quote but wondering a ballpark before we invest more time into this. 50k? 75? 100..?

Pants for chunky but short legs

Any recommendations for brands that fit a chunky baby with short legs?

Help please

Looking to see if anybody has any ideas or has had a similar situation!

My LO outgrew bedside bassinet at 3 months and HATES the crib. He is now 8 months old and we have exclusively coslept since. Every single nap is contact nap (which is lovely but some days I just need to get stuff done), Also, I have to go to bed at 7pm with him and stay in bed till 6am when he wakes up. I would reealllyy love my evenings back!!!

I have discovered that once he falls asleep in my bed, I can slip away and he will stay sleeping for a pretty long stretch. The only issue with that is that he is crawling- so I can’t leave him unsupervised incase he wakes up and crawls off the edge of the bed!

My thought was to just add bed rails to my bed? But I read that’s not considered safe? I could have a baby monitor on him? Any suggestions??

I’ve tried sleep training. I have completely given up on the crib. Just trying to find a way to get a little more freedom (save my sanity) and have LO safely sleep in my bed.

Thanks for reading!

Leaving baby for a night

When was the first time you were away for a night and left baby at home with their Dad?

At 8 months I’m struggling to leave for one night. Baby is EBF so I will leave bottles. The longest Dad has been alone with baby is 4 hours maybe 3 different afternoons. Just looking for some reassurance I guess that I’m not a terrible mom for being away for a night..
