How come Malaysians are so good at Cantonese compared to other diasporas around the world?

I watched some youtube videos of Chinese Malaysians and they not only speak Cantonese or Mandarin but also read and write Chinese very well. Do they have very tight knit communities compared to the US, UK or Canada?

If you could be born again, would you still choose HK?

Random shower thought, for me it would be a yes, love the convenience, the culture and its much easier to grow up trilingual here.

Has there been any research on the cause and treatment of DUPA hairloss?

DUPA (Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia) is when follicles miniaturize occurs all over the scalp including the donor area with no distinct pattern. Dr. William Rassman categorizes it where there is at least 20% of hair miniaturization but the cause is unknown. Fin and min may not work. Other types of hair loss such as Male Pattern Hairloss, Areata, LPP all have treatments.

What makes this type of hairloss so special? Are there any possible theories or progress on research?

What are the most geographically flexible careers for an expat?

Maybe not in every country but let's say 1 or 2 countries in each continent. Let's also assume language and visa issues are not barriers for now.

What type of jobs or skillsets are less location dependent and aren't a dime in a dozen? Would white collar jobs be more mobile than blue collar?

I’m a software engineer with 8 years of experience both at startups and big tech. I’ve lived in Canada most of my life and I’m looking to move to East Asia or SEA for a lifestyle change by the end of this year.

As for languages, I speak Cantonese but I might not be familiar with technical or business jargon. I can read native level content in Standard Chinese very easily (formal docs, newspaper etc…). Mandarin, I can understand a little but I’m trying to learn and improve.

I hold passports from both Canada and Hong Kong. I know Singapore is the largest tech hub out of these options and Hong Kong’s tech scene is smaller than the rest, so I'm not sure how that factors in.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
