ANYC 2026 Photographer Seeking Cosplayers for Collaborations

I have an ANYC+ badge, so my priority is definitely enjoying the Con 1st, but I’m also hoping to photograph some incredible cosplayers throughout the weekend. I’m a portrait photographer and love capturing detailed, creative cosplay shots that really bring characters to life.

As a fun extra, I had custom Anime NYC badge ribbons made and will be giving one to every cosplayer I work with!

If you might have time for a shoot, I’d love to coordinate with you and talk about your cosplay plans. Send me a message if you’d be interested in collaborating.

You can also check out more of my work on Instagram: @luxuryXspin

Feel free to DM me there as well if that’s easier!

First time getting upgraded to First Class from a Main Cabin ticket as a Silver Medallion!

Last year and the year before, 2 years in a row as Silver Medallions, my wife and I were upgraded to First on our Montreal → JFK → RDU flights. I had a solo trip to Montreal last Summer and was upgraded to First on my Montreal → → LGA. But these were all from Comfort+ seats.

This year, we’ve flown more than usual and already qualified for Silver Medallion back in May for next year. Since RDU → JFK is such a short flight, we decided to save some money and book Main Cabin instead. To my surprise, I was upgraded to First Class as soon as check-in opened. My wife on the other hand did not get an upgrade.. but 4 hours before the flight, she was upgraded too!

I know upgrades as a Silver aren’t exactly common, especially from Main Cabin, so this was a nice surprise. Maybe we just got lucky, but it definitely made the flight bearable since we sat on the tarmac for over an hour due to lightning.

For the more experienced Medallion members, how often are you seeing First Class upgrades clear from Main Cabin?

These upgrades have me feeling delusional. I’m already looking at my fall and winter trips thinking, “Surely the Delta gods will bless me again.” 😅✈️

New Hasselblad 500cm owner with Nons back

Me: Bragging that I’m a portrait and event photographer for years.

Also me: Wastes 3 packs of Instax film learning to focus a Hasselblad 500CM and shoots 4 blank frames because I keep forgetting to pull the dark slide. 🥲

In all seriousness, this camera has been far more challenging than I expected. The combination of the waist-level finder and Nons Instax back has given me a whole new appreciation for photographers who mastered these cameras before autofocus and instant image review.

I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of it, though.

Hasselblad 500CM + Nons

Me: Bragging that I’m a portrait and event photographer for years.

Also me: Wastes 3 packs of Instax film learning to focus a Hasselblad 500CM and shoots 4 blank frames because I keep forgetting to pull the dark slide. 🥲 Also, forgetting to measure exposure before shooting multiple times..

In all seriousness, this camera has been far more challenging than I expected. The combination of the waist-level finder and Nons Instax back has given me a whole new appreciation for photographers who mastered these cameras before autofocus and instant image review.

I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of it, though.

Swipe to see the wasted film..

New owner!

After almost two months of research, I finally joined the Hasselblad club with a 500CM. Ironically, my main reason for buying it was to shoot Instax Square film.

Looking forward to learning the system and seeing what this legendary camera can do—both on 120 and instant film. Any tips for a new 500CM owner? 📷

Hasselblad 500CM

After almost two months of research, reading reviews, watching videos, and going down countless rabbit holes, I finally pulled the trigger on a Hasselblad 500CM… just so I can shoot Instax Square photos.

Probably the most expensive way possible to take instant photos, but I regret nothing? 🤔

Wide Brushed Metallic & Mini Mermaid Tail

I made a post last week about trying to cover my office windows with Instax photos, and I’ve made a lot of progress since then!

The combination of Instax Wide Brushed Metallic and Instax Mini Mermaid Tail film looks surprisingly good together. Still have a ways to go, but it’s finally starting to come together.

1 out of 30 windows covered!

My gaming/anime office has glass doors, and my wife finally asked me to cover them because of a few spicy figures on display 😅
So I decided to turn it into a project using my Instax photos. Currently 1 out of 30 window panels done… only 29 more to go 🫠

Added an Instax Wide Evo

Love my Evo Mini Cinema, so I picked up an Evo Wide last night too. So far I’ve only used it as a printer, but I’m planning to shoot with it today.

Really excited to see how it performs in the field!
