Rain pants
I need some quality rain pants for an Antarctica trip. I am only 5’1 so they need to be petite since I can’t shorten them. Any suggestions? Hoping to purchase during the Labor Day sale.

My eyebrows never came back after chemotherapy. I am finally getting micro-blading done next week. What should I expect in terms of post-care? What precautions do I need to take to make sure I don’t mess them up?
Since I am going off Verzenio, my MO recommended increased monitoring by using the Tempus test every 6 months.
Has anyone else had this test? Anything I should I know?
I have an upcoming stay for Saturday. I have requested a late check out if possible (just 1 extra hour). The host saw the message but didn’t respond (48 hours ago). I reached out again and repeated the request but said I understood if it wasn’t possible but I would like to know. That was 12 hours ago and still no response.
What should I do?
We are finalizing our trek to MP on the Salkantay trail, but we are also considering adding a visit to the rain forest. Any one have a wonderful 2-5 day rain forest trip that can be added after MP?

I finished active treatment for BC in May 2025. I waited to start Verzenio til October so I could train and run the Berlin Marathon. It was an amazing race and even though it was my slowest marathon, I was so proud of myself. I started Verzenio and after some tough side effects ended up on the lowest dose. It seemed okay for a while. Then the fatigue hit. Nearly every run felt awful. I took a month break- felt great!! Tried to go back on the Verzenio and immediately got hit hard with fatigue. Runs slowed to walks. Low energy all day.
I just messaged my MO that I am stopping permanently (unless I get a reoccurrence).
I feel like I failed. Like if I was just tougher, I could stick out the 2 years. But running is a source of joy. It is also the most healthy thing I do for myself. Diabetes and heart disease is super common in my family. Running is something I can do to prevent/delay those problems.
Thanks for even taking the time to read this. You all are probably the most likely to understand.
We are trying to plan our summer 2027 Machu Pichu trip. We plan on hiking the Salkantay Trek. We are trying to decide between Mountain Lodges which offers hotels each night or Salkantay Trekking which has more of a glamping setup.
It is to celebrate our 10 year anniversary so we are willing to spend more money if the experience will be significantly better. Any thoughts?
I am flying to MCO on Friday. My friend will also fly in but from another city/airline 1 hour later.
Here is my question- I can either do carry-on and wait at the Delta Lounge or do checked luggage and wait past security. Anyone know what options I will have for waiting areas?
Anyone in this group who is a runner and on Verzenio?
I have been able to stay active while on Verzenio. (Lowest dose, started Oct 2025). But lately my runs have been falling apart. Paces that were easy a few months ago, now feel exhausting. I have had to stop all my long runs early.
I am getting my bloodwork done Thursday and I am meeting with my MO. Is there anything in the bloodwork that would explain this? Anything I can try? Running is important to me and I am not sure I will stay on this drug if I can’t run.
(I am on Verzenio to prevent reoccurrence).
I’m a year out from active treatment from cancer, but the drugs have caused weight gain (and I had some extra weight before). My oncologist is supportive of trying medication, and referred me to a weight loss clinic. But that appointment is still 6 months away. If I got my GP to prescribe, what would my OOP cost likely be? Is there any chance of getting it covered by insurance if I am not diabetic?
This afternoon we went to lunch at a chain restaurant. Food was good, service was good. Near the end of the meal I noticed a small mouse under a nearby table. I wasn’t upset or scared but I did call over the manager and discreetly mention it. The manager did try unsuccessfully to catch the mouse. He came back to our table, let us know that pest control had been contacted and that our meal was free. That was very generous, but I didn’t want to stiff the server who had nothing to do with the mouse. Luckily I had cash and left 20% of what the bill would have been. Does anyone know how servers are compensated in this kind of scenario if I hadn’t left a cash tip?
