Yesterday I finally had an appointment for root touch up and possible color correction. I had semi-permanent cotton candy pink in lengths and I believe she did a color correction. My appointment went from 1 hr to over 3 and included 4 clarifying shampoos at least two trials for toner and color at the end. I called today to ask if there is anything I can do or them to lighten and she just suggested shampoo. Is it possible that this dark a result is the norm for this situation. It is just so dark for my skin tone.

I was just wondering if this could be why my hair constantly is dry and frizzy. My area in Virginia has become famous for terrible well water. If this is a big part of the problem will any filtering showerheads help?

Hi today I finally went to a salon with a mess. Basic unevenness, semi permanent pink in lengths and I’d say 50% gray roots. I was mainly concerned with covering the gray but I realize how freaking complicated a color correction situation cab be. i said I was fine with pink being left in the lengths as long as my hair was not too much darker than dirty blonde (since dark brown makes me look like I need a blood transfusion STAT!) did it have to go this dark?
