Games with a prestige system? As in, a system where you level up then reset your levels to get bonuses then level up and reset them again and again. (no idle games though). Thank you!

Thank you <3

Is there any other singleplayer game like Minecraft that feels like you have an infinite amount of things to do? Seriously it feels like I could play it forever. Rimworld/Dwarf Fortess are another example.

I played the usual Factori/Kenshi recs xD they're great too.

Hey guys, can you recommend any unique servers? The more unique the better, I love crazy stuff

For example I just saw a youtube vid about a roguelike private server and it looks really cool, I'll try it right now (won't name it cause I don't want to be called a shill, that's not my intention).

Are there any others?

Ascension will be closing so that's not an option haha.

Anyway, thank you!

I constantly see posts saying that cat bites are super super dangerous. But I play fight with my cat (indoor cat) all the time, and he loves to bite me and scratch me and I didn't get infected. Should I stop before I do?

Been doing this for years, my arm's all scratched up. I love it!

I really enjoy play fighting and he loves it too.

But if you guys say it's dangerous I'll stop cause I don't wanna risk it.

He's an indoor only cat, never been outside, ever. 9 years old.

Thank you <3

I only played the game for like 4 hours in September 2024. I've watched some vids just now and realized this is like the best game ever, what I've been looking for for a long time. Anyway, I wanna play again, should I wait till 1.0 or just play now?

Thank you!

Just your personal opinion is fine ❤️

Does anyone else think that most games nowadays are very very boring anyway? (not counting indie games, those have some gems)

I am not exaggerating, literally 99% of AAA games seem awful to me, awful. Incredibly boring.

I just don't understand how people play them, how they're praising them so much. How??

Every time I try to play one it just feels so pointless and boring.

Even games that have great great ratings and are very popular, like Spiderman or God of War or Tsushima.

It's like my brain is broken, I can't enjoy these games. I can enjoy niche indie games but most games on the market feel so pointless and boring.

I think it's cause I was playing MMOs or competitive games like mobas all my life, and in MMOs everything you do progresses your account long-term, maybe?

Whereas in these AAA games it feels a lot more pointless. Like why am I spending my time mashing buttons to kill random enemies, to get to the next chunk of mediocre story? Story's not good, any book or movie would put most games' stories to shame.

Ugh I just can't get over how pointless and boring the gameplay/combat is in all AAA games. Feels like you're just doing a boring activity for no reason. How do people like this I don't understand.

Maybe I just hate this particular genre, I genuinely dislike it. Don't know what it's called but most AAA games are this genre and it's so boring.

Edit: Oh is the genre called "action" games? I think that's it, I hate action games so much. They are so boring god damn how can anyone enjoy this genre it's beyond me. I'm not every saying they're too easy or anything but god are they boring, bored to tears playing them.

Singleplayer RPGs with satisfying progression systems? I like it when they give you dopamine, when they use numbers and systems to make your brain feel good xD. (no idle games or roguelites though, I played those already <3. Ty!)

Thank you ❤️

Hey guys, since you have the same addiction as me, I thought I'd ask here. Can you recommend any games that AREN'T scapelikes and scratch the same itch? Cause I think I played all the actuals scapelikes xD

Ugh I've been looking for games like this for years but they're so rare.

I just want progression/dopamine, you know? I need that dopamine from numbers going up. Not a big fan of idle games though and I've played them all anyway lol.

My suggestions for anyone interested: Chronicon, Grim Dawn, Siralim Ultimate, Disgaea 5. And of course any actual scapelikes like Bloobs.

Guys I promise I'm not trolling, this is a controversial question but it's been on my mind a whole lot so I gotta ask it: what do people like about the combat/gameplay of games like Spiderman, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, the upcoming Wolverine.

I know this is very unpopular so just bear with me, I'm dumb.

I want to understand, what do people like about that?

For example Spiderman or God of War. To me it seems like the combat is way too simple. You're basically just watching fancy animations and that's it. You press a few buttons for combos and that's it.

I don't understand why these games are so beloved. It just seems so boring.

I know you can boil everything down to "hitting buttons" but for games like these it really is that! You can probably even beat the hardest difficulties just mashing buttons.

Honestly I don't understand, I'm obsessed with finding an answer, it's eating me up. How can these games have millions of fans, I'm puzzled.

I'm the dumb one I'm not smart I agree, I am in the wrong here. I just can't understand. It puzzles me. What's there to like about this.

Do you think that too many games are story-driven nowadays?

Please feel free to say no, I'd genuinely like to see the opinions of others.

Here's my opinion:

Yes there's too many of them now.

Now, the reason why I say "too many", is that there's a finite number of good games released each year, especially if you don't count indie games.

So the fact that there are a lot of story-driven games kinda means there are less games for those of us who don't enjoy story-driven games.

I'm not saying story-driven games aren't good, it looks like most people love them! They're the best-rated games out there.

For me personally those games aren't enjoyable, even amazing ones like Witcher 3, Red dead Redemption 2, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon.

To me story in a video game is something extra that can make it more enjoyable, but most games nowadays seem to be focusing on it first and foremost. It's really destroying my enjoyment since instead of playing you're mostly just walking around and going from story beat to story beat with some basic, not that inspired gameplay in-between.

But that's just me and it's an incredibly niche and unpopular opinion! Which is why I'm making this thread. What do you think? Do you personally think there's too many?

Anime where the protagonist is incredibly important to the world without them knowing? Random example, let's say they're a God who lost their memories or reincarnated or they're the center of the universe or something. Manga or light novels are fine too!

Thank you <3

So that was jut a random example it doesn't have to be just this, amnesiac god or reincarnated higher being are just random examples I thought of just now, can be something else entirely! Time travel shenanigans are fine too!

Much appreciated :)

P.S: I'm currently rewatching Haruhi Suzumiya and I think it might be heading that way but I can't remember lul.

Games with combat systems that you enjoyed breaking? For example, sometimes I play niche indie games that have simple systems where you just grind for strength or defense or whatever, and you simply break the game by dumping it all in a stat like defense for example and nothing does damage to you

Doesn't have to be a good combat system, anything goes.

RPGs with unique gameplay? And by that I don't necessarily mean something innovative, just different from others. Like for example Punch Club has you training stats that affect your stamina, your power, your dexterity. It's unique, not necessarily super innovative but hey it's different!

Do you know any games where the gameplay has satisfying parts you like experiencing over and over? Like for example in some games driving is really pleasant, in others shooting is pleasant, in others landing a crit or something. Whatever it may be. Ty!
