I believe these are cinnabars and chanterelles. The cinns we found in two different spots and the chants were all in one area 5-8 feet apart. The chants all pass the string cheese test!

Wondering if anyone else ended up with a garden full of pokeweed to pull after purchasing compost in North Asheville/Weaverville this spring? Maybe the seeds were planted via bird poop but there is really a lot of it everywhere I spread the compost... grateful for the rain this weekend that made them easier to pull!
