Is (or was) any of you like this?

So, in my early teens, I used to write stories starring Pokémon, though there were no humans, no gyms, etc.

Instead, individual Pokémon were fully independent, interacting and socializing with each other in ways. They often went on Mario-style adventures.

The regions were my own, and individual Pokémon often featured unique characteristics that made them "them".

Whatever happened to my message?

So I sent a message to someone I find interesting (we don't follow each other yet). On the chat list, it says the delivery failed. Now, when I hop onto the chat, I see "request sent" instead.

And when I view Instagram chats from Chrome, the chat with them isn't even there.

Is this normal? What must I expect? It may help to know that I had sent an earlier message, though I had to delete it due to errors, and then I sent an improved message.

I'm looking for East Asian sans-serif typefaces with a more humanist theme

It's intended for an art project.

The following font is a good example, though I'd like more options, since this font only has one weight.

https://preview.redd.it/s409hvlca2ah1.png?width=501&format=png&auto=webp&s=dde9087a1be88af961a3a403316690d2cce9e55c

If you pay attention, the font's strokes look much more human than those of an ordinary East Asian sans-serif.

Could I afford to have a protagonist that's a cyclops?

So, I'm starting to write a webtoon-adjacent series of printed short stories, starring a Korean girl intended to represent me.

Now, I've considered making her a cyclops. This would represent the fact that she views the world in a rare way, and focuses intensely on what she desires. This would also make her more distinct.

Even with one eye, she's no monster. She's emphatically soft, and this includes her facial expression, her clothing, her way of addressing others, etc.

Does it sound right to make her a cyclops?

Everyone, let's write lyrics for "I Took Vicodin In Ibiza" (a House MD-themed parody of "I Took A Pill In Ibiza")

Do it for Gregory. Do it for Will's son.

What decade you never lived yourself would you like to emulate in your daily life?

In my (1999) case, I would choose the 1980s, and likely part of the 1990s (I didn't get to experience most of the 1990s).

"Emulating" here means incorporating elements from that era (e.g. pastimes, music) into your life as it unfolds in the current years.

Those whose conlangs don't use the Latin script, let's play a game

How would your favorite logos look like in your writing system?

If your conlang is written in a non-Latin script used in natlangs (Cyrillic, Hangul, etc.), it's also allowed.

Is limerence related in any way to either erotomania or parasocial relationships?

I apologize if this sounds weird. I'm 1000% new to this community. Indeed, today is the first time I even read the term "limerence".

When I read the definition, it reminded me of erotomania and parasocial relationships.

So, is limerence related to either phenomenon? What analogies and differences exist?

How much of your social circle knows that you're a conlanger? What do they think of it?

In my case, it's only around 10% of the people I know. They think well of it, as a creative exercise that aligns with my interest in languages.

re: my earlier post asking for criteria to define what conlangs are "completed"

A few days ago, I asked Redditors here what they thought was needed to declare a conlang "complete".

I would like to acknowledge that "completed" was almost certainly the wrong term, since what I actually meant is: I'm satisfied with what I achieved so far with my conlang, and I think I can invest more time in something else (like another pastime, etc.).

That said, I found the comments pretty insightful.

When would you feel it's safe to call your conlang "completed"? Is the existence of certain scientific terminology a must?

Examples of scientific terminology: those found in philosophy, anatomy, psychology, etc.
