Tying to make myself a unique coffee table. Need help looking for a nice live wood slab!
Tv is sitting on console that is 32 1/2 inches high.
Pretty proud how these shelves turned out! Still thinking of what kind of cabinets to go with on the bottom, so far so good!
I picked up this matching set at an estate sale for $235 and I'm trying to figure out who made it.
The set includes:
• 2 matching rattan swivel lounge/barrel chairs
• Matching nesting side tables with white laminate tops
• Original burgundy cushions
The chairs have heavy swivel bases and curved rattan backs. There are no labels, stamps, or manufacturer tags anywhere on them. The previous owners had a Japanese-themed home with a lot of well-kept vintage furniture, so I'm wondering if these were part of a higher-end collection from the 1970s or 1980s.
A few questions:
• Does anyone recognize the manufacturer or model?
• Do these resemble Ficks Reed, Henry Link, Comfort Designs, or another maker?
• The swivels creak a little and have a slight wobble. Is that common, and are replacement swivel bearings available?
I'd love to learn more about the history of these. Thanks!
Still learning on how to make a brisket, so take it easy! Bought the 700fb1 on sale from academy, great purchase so far!
Just bought my first home and need help picking a couch. The house came this way, so before anyone blames me for the 50 shades of gray aesthetic… I inherited it. 😂 Now I’m trying to figure out how to make the space feel warmer and more inviting without redoing the entire room.
Planning on doing a bar area behind that little half wall. The TV will be mounted on the wall to the left of the front door.
I’m open to any other idea on the decor and colors just please help!
Just bought my first home and I’m trying to plan out the living room before I start buying furniture.
My current idea is:
-Mount the TV on the wall to the left of the front door.
-Place the main seating area facing the TV.
-Add a small bar/bourbon section behind the couch toward the back of the room.
The house has light gray walls, white trim, black doors, and white marble-look tile floors, so I’m trying to figure out what couch color and style would work best without making the space feel too cold.
Would you go with:
Dark charcoal/gray
Cognac leather
Cream/light beige
Something else?
I’m also open to suggestions on furniture layout, rugs, accent colors, lighting, and how to make the space feel warm and inviting.
First time decorating a house, so any ideas or inspiration would be greatly appreciated!
