QC35 II ear pads finally cooked — recs for replacements?

Had these since 2018ish and the pads are basically gone at this point. Looking for replacements; genuine Bose vs aftermarket (Wicked Cushions, SoloWIT, etc.)? Curious if the “cooling gel” ones are actually worth it or just marketing.

Also if anyone’s got a good tutorial/video for swapping them out, would appreciate a link. Want to make sure I don’t wreck the seal or the driver connection.
