Hi! Traveling with our 2yo son and friends in January for 10-14 days. We've got our eye on Samara and La Fortuna, making sure to have a pool at our rental and no ambitious plans. Want to move slowly. My friend will be late 2nd trimester as well. Samara and La Fortuna seem perfect for us! However, my husband has now asked if there are any small beach towns like Samara where there is also great surfing? He grew up surfing and would love the chance to do it again (we live in the mountains). Thanks!

Is there a game at all similar to Stardew Valley but things slowly start to seem “off”? I’m maybe halfway through gameplay of Stardew and I keep waiting for there to be some dark mystery or the townspeople start getting paranoid or weird. But it just seems fun and innocent! Loving it but would love a game that goes from happy, sunny town to Stephen King. I know the essence of this request sort of spoils the plot but wanted to ask anyway!

Hi all! My 2yo starts daycare on Monday. We need to pack two snacks and lunch. Just wanted to hear if anybody has any good tips for packing efficiently, not wasting a bunch of food, including variety, sticking mostly to whole foods, organizing, etc.

A few questions I've thought of:

Are you labeling (snack 1, snack 2, lunch) and writing what's in them? We have a couple bento boxes. Any other packing methods you like?

Are you meal prepping on Sundays? Do you pack it up the night before or morning of?

Have you found a good method for not buying a variety of things and then only using a little bit of it? Like making turkey and cheese wraps and you only make one but then have a whole pack of turkey, cheese, and tortillas to use but don't want to give him the same thing for every lunch that week.

How are you keeping things fresh? Avocado, sandwiches getting soggy, apples, etc.

This might all seem totally obvious to everyone else but I'm struggling to get started! Or I'm worrying too much lol.

We will be traveling across the US (NC>AZ) in about a month. We want to bring a car seat (it's like ~$150 to rent one with car rental companies) but don't necessarily want to bring it on the plane.

The car seat we have does not have a travel bag and I intend to check it, I think. Should I find a bag to put it in? Should I...wrap it? Lol. Will they wrap it? Should I check it when we check in or at the gate? Would love anyone's advice on this!

Hey all! Posting now after the win in hopes that it gets more traction.

I’ve been a Caniac since ‘06! I started watching that year when they won the Cup which made for a super exciting first experience! Yahoo! Anyway my two favorite players back then were Gleason and Ruutu. Long story short, I lost both of their tshirts (that I’ve had for 20 years!) during Helene. I live in Asheville now, grew up in Raleigh. We had a newborn when the hurricane hit so the lost clothes were the least of my worries but I’m finally circling back to reorganizing and taking inventory of our garage…

I was wondering if anybody had a tshirt (or even a jersey but prefer T-shirt) I could buy off them of either player. Please DM me if so. Thanks!!

My son (22 months) and I will be there later this week. My husband travels for work often and I’m tired of solo parenting in our city so we will pack up and go to Dollywood (two hour drive). For sake of ease we are staying at the DreamMore. We get Splash Country tickets with our room and will definitely do that one day.

Should we spend a day or half day at the other park? Anybody who has gone with a younger toddler, did they enjoy it? I’ve (sort of) gotten the hang of traveling with him. Low expectations, ready to just ride the hotel elevator if that’s what he wants haha.

Open to any other advice! We have traveled quite a bit but this is the first theme park experience.

Ugh, I just DNFed both From Blood and Ash and The Bridge Kingdom. Especially with the Bridge Kingdom, when the MCs start saying how in looooove they are I’m like what???? You’ve spent 20 minutes together over a few months?

Any books like Outlander where you really feel like you get to know the characters and actually believe they love each other? Slow burn and great character development, I suppose?

Hey all, I’m looking for a new tattoo artist as mine moved away. I have a color sleeve in a style he called “watercolor” (English was very much his second language so maybe there is another term for it?) and all the images sort of blend well together. The colors fade and blend well into each other. Have no idea if this makes sense. Anyway he was amazing and I haven’t found anyone yet who does something similar. Any recs in avl?

Buddy is 20 months old and has peed through his diapers at night about 50% of the time. We have used Pampers his whole life and they have worked well. He was using size 4 for months and then around 18 months started peeing through them. That was usually our cue to size up and we did but it’s still happening.

He is a string bean, quite thin and tall. Anybody start having this issue and managed to problem solve effectively?

He peed through it this morning around 4am and after changing all his clothes, he is up and so am I😵‍💫

Anybody know if she has given a general release date or is it on pause? The writing…almost made me…DNF but I actually enjoyed the storyline and am a little hooked after the cliffhanger. I couldn’t find any info on her site though. Thanks!
