162 - want to understand game - search for guide

Hey everyone,

I recently hit level 160 on my main Shadower, and thanks to the latest event I also made a level 200 Ren mule. After reaching 160 on my main, I realized I’m not really progressing or killing bosses consistently anymore, so I wanted to figure out what I should focus on next. Until now I mostly leveled through quests.

Right now I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the systems: Monster Cards, Honor points, Dignity points, Star Force upgrades, harvesting, Roro familiars, Monster Park, Safari, and more. There’s just so much content that I end up trying to do everything ..... and then I do nothing fully.

Is there a good written guide or progression path that explains what to focus on at this stage? I’d really appreciate something structured because I’m getting lost.

I’d also love a solid Shadower guide: keybindings, skill usage, equipment advices, anything that helps me play the class properly.

Thanks for any help! :)

Hey,

Is there a list of alt models?
The closest thing I have is list of cards from wargame vault, but maybe there is something better ?

Few questions from old guy

Hi everyone,
I played MapleStory roughly 20–24 years ago, back when I was a kid. Recently the algorithm reminded me of the classic version, and I ended up trying the current MapleStory instead.

After about two weeks of playing, I already have a level 100+ character. I enjoy questing and doing 30-60 minutes of grinding after work and after putting my kids to bed, but I’m not sure if this version of Maple is really for me. I’m also on a server where trading is disabled, which adds some confusion.

I’d love to ask the community a few things:

  • Are party quests still a thing? I went to the PQ area on EU Channel 1 and it was completely empty. I used to love PQs back in the day. Did they evolve into daily bossing or something else?
  • How many support characters are considered “healthy”? I like the idea of having a few alts/mules to help my main, but I don’t want to go overboard. I’m not aiming to be top DPS just somewhere around the average player.
  • About classes being flashy: I’m playing a Shadower, and the skills/animations feel extremely flashy full‑screen effects and millions of damage numbers everywhere. Is this just how modern MapleStory is, or are there less flashy classes?
  • Do I lose anything important if I don’t play daily? I have a family, a house, and a job, so I can’t log in every day. Will missing dailies put me far behind?
  • What does endgame look like nowadays? Is it mostly bossing? Grinding? Farming materials? Something else?

Thanks in advance. I’d really appreciate any insight from current players.

What will be cheap class?

Played Maple around 20 or more years ago. I only remember the class with ninja stars was expensive. Whole hp wash, dexless etc. was too complex for me at that time.

Question:
Based at current information, what will be cheap class that can enjoy party quests and if needed solo grind ?

M1 - nowy rodzaj oszustwa czy osoba w potrzebie

Hej,

Help after return - 20 years passed

Long story short - found old CD with game in my parents place. No CD in laptop - got GOG version.

Game is difficult so got some guides from internet. For example:
- started using more heroes so main one is Combat rest is resource
- better town building (not only Capitol)
- better fights, started using wait button (totally missed it as kid)

Wanted to learn more.

Question - what are good materials to read / Watch ? Don’t need extra pro multiplayer help. Just how to make live easier in campaigns. Already searched things, but some are very detailed like how to move hero pixel perfect or restart campaign if wrong skill obtained

Thanks for help

Zidane - what to change ? Treasures or ETB ?

Hello!

My deck originally started as a joke. The story: one of my friends always brought a slightly stronger deck and wanted to play it against our precons or casual homebrews.

So I built this abomination just to counter him:

https://moxfield.com/decks/sZph83_W7Ee5teiGrj4bGQ

After a few games, my playgroup actually started to like the deck, and I made some changes (the older cards are still in the “considering” section).

My question:

What should I change to make the deck more stable and maybe a bit less of an NPE, while still being able to win and not just be a meme?

I’m not sure what direction to take next. Should I lean harder into treasures with cards like [[Generous Plunderer]], [[Professional Face‑Breaker]] etc.?

Or should I focus more on ETB effects with [[Panharmonicon]] and add more creatures that benefit from it?

Any advice or ideas would be appreciated!
