Today is Snana Purnima, which is celebrated as the divine appearance day (birthday) of Lord Jagannath.

​Right after the grand Snana Yatra (the holy bathing ritual), the deities are adorned in this magnificent Gajanana Besha (Hati Besha), appearing in the form of Lord Ganesha.

​Following this, the Trinity will enter the Anasara Pindi for a 15-day recovery period before the grand Rath Yatra begins.
