Hello, Whenever I visit malls/ airports i get approached for credit cards. I am curious if I should go ahead with them or better visit branch for the application.

So, I am in my 30s M,

Since Childhood, I have seen how people have changed when we needed them the most. And let me tell you its not because we did not help them or stood by them. Despite thinking good for them, standing whenever required, helping them with money whenever they needed, we did not receive the same. Instead, people took us for granted. They thought of us as weak since we were always available for them physically, emotionally.

So, basically my father is one of the simplest man i know. All he knows is to work and work and keep people around him happy. He always gives priority to others (not even his wife, or us). No matter who the person is, be it a labor , he would give them so much respect that the other person starts taking advantage of his nature. I would like to quote one example here,

So, my father was thrown out from his own house by his elder brother's family becuase they wanted to keep all property to themselves. When my dad moved to a city from the village and set up a workshop with the help of his FIL and wife, the same brother came to the city saying he is suffering from cancer and needs help. My dad helped him with his stay and financials. The same brother when he moved backed to his village, he still had that greed to keep my father's share of property and whenever my mother and father used to visit, my father's brother along with his 5 sons used to threaten to beat them.

My dad never fought back considering his elder brother wound understand himself. But nothing changed or melted. Till today they threaten, abuse and dont let us stay peacefully whenever we visit for even weeks.

Another incident I would quote,

So, from my mother's side relatives also, they are no less. 10 years ago, we were going through a very bad phase in our life. And I was merely in early 20s with all those good thinking about relatives. During this dark phase, we all were crying, extremely confused about the future. We had no idea what to do, where to go, what is right, what is wrong.

During this phase, one of aunties (my mother's sister) had the audacity to say, "Sell this house, we are searching for a house in the city" I couldnt react anything because we were mentally unstable. All that we said that time, will see later. Right now, we dont want to talk anything about it. Later, as I grew up, I now understand the intentions of people who behave so sweet in front but the real face is so dirty.

Watching all this since childhood, I have stopped trusting ANYONE! Literally ANYONE around.

I have slowly started reducing talks with all my relatives because I dont feel they have the soft corner or the helping nature towards us. I also know, they are ready to show true colors when I will need them the most.

I dont know if I am doing thr right thing or wrong but atleast one thing I will be happy if still anything doesnt work out is that i wont regret that I trusted people and they broke my trust.

The cut off is to such an extent, that I dont attend any family functions, any calls from them. I literally dont want to know anything about their life nor do I want to share anything about whats going on in my life. But sometimes, when I watch the family functions , where all our relatives come toegther and enjoy, I feel bad about myself for not being able to gel with them. To some extent I feel there is definitely difference between my family's nature and theirs and that doesnt allow us to gel with them.

And that's where I sometimes question myself If I am the A**H*L* in the entire family?

hello, I know what I have written, may sound awkward, but just wanted to see if anything can work out.

So, basically, I am going for rent agreement but right now, I dont know anyone, the few I know stay in Mumbai side and its not possible to ask them to come to virar for becoming the witness.

Its just a formality. If anyone can help me out in this, pls dm, I stay near Bolinj naka and am well qualified and educated so dont worry about any scam/ fraud or anything/. U dont have to pay or do anything. Just they will take your photo in my agreement/. if you are nearby, let me know.
