How do you keep running?

Training for my first half marathon (doing it for charity not aiming for a time). I have completed 14 weeks of training and yesterday I ran 19k. I really struggle in the middle of the run, the start I feel fresh and can run, and then end I push myself as nearly finished but the middle is awful and I end up walking a lot. I just want to stop and sit down. Obviously I do feel more run down at that point but I seem to be able to push through at the end. I took gels when necessary, drank 750ml of water during the run and tried to maintain a slower pace (but didn’t succeed). Obviously there are so many physical variables about why you might stop, but does anyone have any advice on overcoming that mental barrier when you feel you have already ran so far yet still have far to go.

Any help?

Hair gets so straggly at the end. This is virgin hair and I never use heat. Gets to me that it looks like this as I’m not doing anything bad to my hair. Any advice? I’m worried to use heat because my hair it’s straggly enough as it is I don’t want to ruin the hair I do have and same for extensions, i’m worried it will ruin the hair i do have. Be honest, does it look bad / messy.

Counterfeit apple watch

My boyfriend decided to surprise me with a new apple watch out of the blue. I hadn’t asked for it, it was just a kind gesture. I was under the impression it was brand new from apple. When it arrived it was wrapped in plastic, unopened , and had all the correct coverings so you’d think it was brand new. I soon realised after multiple failed attempts at connecting to my phone and other clues that this was counterfeit (along with finding out he got it from vinted). As he wanted to give it as a gift, he hadn’t checked it initially and it now has been more than 48 hours so i presume now he has no rights. The user has also deleted their account.

Don’t feel supported

I’m doing a big challenge to raise money for an important and personal cause (medical illness related). I posted the fundraiser on my instagram story (as you do) and so many of my best friends love hearted the story and then didn’t donate a penny. Only 1 person actually donated. Don’t get me wrong there can be many reasons for this, maybe they plan to donate later, maybe they are waiting till pay day etc etc. However I can’t help feeling hurt by it, especially because of how close I regarded these people. I know (based of life style and knowing their job) they aren’t short of cash. Also if any of them were doing something for charity I wouldn’t think twice about donating to them. Not sure if I am taking it too personally or this is a normal response. Wanted to get it off my chest.

How do I improve my portfolio after completion as a SHO locum?

I'm currently F4 and honestly have a poor portfolio, unfortunately I didn't build on it sooner, but the past is the past. I would like to be able to gain some publications, research and maybe more experience in teaching. I am locuming now and therefore find these opportunites hard to come by. Is there anyway I could get portfolio points without having a full time job, doesn't just have to be the examples above that gave.
