Reddit has a variety of communities. For example, some might be bad, some are good and some are neutral. Some neutral communities may be about ADHD, Tunisia, Kurdistan, Writing etc... However, these subreddits being neutral doesn't negate the fact that they may contain content that contradict islam so my question is should I still engage in those communities or just leave them?

Back in 2013, The DSM-5 recognised Avoidant-Restrictive Food-Intaking Disorder(ARFID).

It's a condition that could be life-threatening in some cases, and the person who has it tends to eat a limited range of food. It's actually as common as anorexia.

It isn't a conspiracy or a way to brainwash people, and certainly it isn't about being a Picky eater or the result of bad parenting. ARFID overlaps a lot with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD

However, many muslims are unaware of its existence and water it down to being ungrateful.

It is good that muslim content creators make videos reminding people to be thankful for what Allah has provided.

However, ARFID is not a joke either. It's not something one can grow out of or overcome it with willpower.

The same applies to every other disorder. Mental health is severly underdiscussed in the muslim world, especially the arab world.

HPD is a disorder that is often so forgotten that it is a joke.

HPD may cause someone to behave dramatically, seek attention, do anything to be in the spotlight. This also includes seductive behaviour and wearing reveallung clothes.

I won't be surprised if many muslimahs have it as it can come across as just tabarujj. Yes it's wrong, but you can't fix a behaviour by not addressing the root. It also affect men, I remember seeing someone who now I think might have it, but not a pschycologist.

Besides HPD, other disorders tend to be forgotten, or demonised, e.g. Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcisstic Personality Disorder, Schizoid PD, Schizotypal PD, Schizoaffective disorder, among others.

ASPD is never discussed. It's often seen as just being cruel when in reality a person with ASPD may live a normal live. On the other hand, NPD may be seen as arogance or kibr.

NPD is a disorder that affects the mind and a person may try to combat it, as proffessional help is required as to overcome it. It isn't a personality flaw. A person can be arrogant without NPD.

NPD requires criteria not just one symptom
