For me it has to be the promposal episode where Mitch and Cam help Manny and Luke with asking girls to prom. Luke was doing a scavenger hunt thing and so he put a note in the girls locker that said “Go to the gym”. EXCUSE ME. Imagine you are in high school, and oh look, theres a note in your locker to go to the gym. I would not assume to go to the gymnasium. I would just think someone was calling me fat and I WISH they wrote that into the show.

I know that this is obvious. They were much better partners most of the time.

I think that Jay and Gloria’s relationship was the most mature and least of the Pritchetts always being right. For the most part, they got along. They always believed in each other and talked through their conflicts like adults, as well as treating raising Manny and Joe as a collaboration.

I know that the show would have gone in a totally different direction if this was the case, but I think Claire kinda got screwed over with Phil (Hot
take, i know). I mean he is funny and nice and a great dad, BUT, he ALWAYS made Claire out to be the bad guy to their kids, he had lots of weird things with other women, including Gloria, and never really listened to Claire, and always made backhanded complaints about her to her, and never took the blame for anything he did. She did so much for the family and Phil didnt really care as much for Claire and she did for him.

For Mitch and Cam, I don’t super like the whole thing that says Cam is fun and Mitch is just a dream crusher. I know (small spoiler ahead) Cam wanted to go back to Missouri towards the end of the show and Mitch sorta felt pressured to because they were at the party. I think that they would have been happier with other people. Mitch wasn’t completely supportive of Cam, like for his clowning and all his musical displays and whatnot. I do think that they kept eachother in balance though, which I do enjoy. I just wish that Cam would not blow everything out of control or get other people involved as much.

And also I would just like to say, I know it is just a show and their relationships are not meant to be perfect, this post is more of just a discussion and something I think about when I watch the show!! No harm meant. I adore the show so so so much!

I work at a place that only rlly sells clothes. When we open, there are a few tasks, one of which, is vacuuming. Vacuuming SUCKS. I normally only open with one other person so I usually do it anyways. Today, for the one day in forever, I was working with 2 people. The other girl is a new(er)hire (who I will call Jill) and is having a hard time adjusting to all the tasks we have. I feel kinda bad and we are so short staffed that I want her to stay. So, I offered to vacuum. She also needed more training on folding down, and that was the other task to do. The store was very messy.

The vacuum at my work is terrible. It is a regular vacuum, or was at some point. The main roller thing doesnt work anymore so you have to use the tube. One of the wheels fell off so it doesn’t move around very well and constantly falls over. Its so annoying. It also radiates a 5 foot cloud of wet heat all around it and gets clogged all the time.

So, as I am vacuuming, and before the store is open, I hear a dressing room door open and see Jill walking out of the area. I thought she was just checking if anything was left there yesterday. Nope. SHE WAS TRYING STUFF ON. Like, a huge pile of stuff. Eventually, my manager came out of the back and asked if Jill could start to fold down, because once again, everything was so messy. She said sure and started to PLAY ON HER PHONE. I finished vacuuming and went to start folding down myself because my manager is kinda hard on us and really wanted the store to look good.

Later in the day, Jill REALLY WANTED to go on her break, even tho her shift was not long enough to qualify her for one. We do free bathroom breaks that you do not need to clock out for and she had a fresh drink from starbucks so its not like she rlly had a problem. She asked the manager a bunch of times even tho we were super busy. I was still folding down and the manager asked Jill if she wanted to fold down and I could run the register since I was folding down all day. SHE SAID NO!

Finally, we got her walking around folding down. Another coworker came in to close, and upon seeing him walk in, Jill left and didnt tell anyone. She came back with a chai from the place down the street. I was furious at her. She did nothing all day

On Tuesday morning, a coworker messaged the gc and asked if someone could cover her 8h shift on Wednesday night. She seemed desperate and offered to cover another persons shift in return, and sent her availability. I need money and I wanted her to cover my shift the next week so I replied “Sure! I can. Would it be possible for you to cover my shift Monday 4-close?”. I had an appointment at 3:00 and a test I had to make up for a class, and was a little nervous to be cutting it so close and my day was just super busy. In the group chat she replied “I would love to!”.
I posted my shift as open on our website thing and she did as well. I took hers but she did not take mine right away (it was the same time as one of her classes at this point so I just assumed she was busy). My covering her got approved.
In the morning, literally as I was getting ready to leave to cover her shift, I looked online and she still didn’t take my shift. I got a private message from her that said (this is me copy and pasting her message) “Hey girl! I am so sorry but I have a big night planned on Sunday and I kinda wanted to sleep in on monday. Sorry ☹️” MIND YOU THE SHIFT I WANTED HER TO COVER STARTED AT 4. I replied and said “Really? You said you would cover it. Its fine ig. Ill see if I can find anyone else to cover my shift then”
I started drafting up a text in the gc and she texted me again and said “Um would it be possible if you maybe just worked that shift urself and told people you wanted it back? It shouldn’t be an issue. I just dont want people to know I wouldn’t cover for u cuz then they wont take my shifts”
OH. MY. GOSH. I had to go work that shift since technically it was mine now but oh. my. gosh. I have no idea what to do. I left her on read and I am genuinely so mad.

So I was at claires today with a friend. One of the locked jewelry cases was open and I was just looking at some options. I was spinning the case around and i got to the open portion (I didnt know it was open when I started looking at the display). The claires at my mall has some locked cases and some unlocked ones. I wasn’t paying attention to the other sides, and just thought it was an unlocked case, so I reached in to look at a piece closer. I didnt eve take it off the little rack thing. I just picked it up halfway then put it back down) When I did, the woman working swooped in and locked the case. I backed up and apologized cuz I had ZERO bad intentions and didn’t realize it was locked. She walked back to the counter and me and my friend didn’t find anything so we left.

As we were leaving, the worker jumped in front of me and told me to give her the jewelry I stole (which was none. I didn’t steal anything from her) because I “popped open” the case that she claimed she definitely locked. She wanted me to empty my pockets (which I didn’t have because I was wearing running shorts and wasn’t carrying a purse, my card was in my friends wallet) The whole time, my friend (who should have been just as suspicious as I was, but wasn’t for some reason) kept saying the case was just open and I didn’t take anything (all truths). I was holding my phone in my hands and she said she definitely saw me put the jewelry in my hand? and needed me to give it back. She told me I was permanently banned from the store, even though I go there and actually spend a lot of money.

The police and security got involved and it was super embarrassing!! I’m the type of person to get nervous opening a soda in walmart before paying because I might like forget to pay or something . I HATE stuff like this. I genuinely have not been able to stop thinking about it. Like all day. I know I did not do anything wrong, but like the stress and how rude she was being to me. Idek. It just feels weird like one of those feelings that lingers in your stomach even until way after.
