comparison of Laowa 90mm vs 100mm vs 180mm macro lenses (2x and 1.5x magnification, full-frame use, pros & cons for insects/product shooting, etc.)
I’ve just found a detailed comparison of Laowa 90mm vs 100mm vs 180mm macro lenses (2x and 1.5x magnification, full-frame use, pros & cons for insects/product shooting, etc.). It’s in Vietnamese, but the charts and sample shots are still useful even if you don’t read the language: https://laowa.vn/so-sanh-chi-tiet-laowa-90mm-vs-100mm-vs-180mm-macro/ .

A periwinkle flower covered in fresh raindrops after a light shower.
Captured with an Olympus E-M1X and Laowa 50mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro.
I aimed for a natural look with soft contrast and realistic colors while preserving the delicate details in the water droplets and petals.

This is Hanoi Train Street before it became as famous as it is today
This is Hanoi Train Street before it became as famous as it is today. Nowadays, when international tourists come to Hanoi, this is almost a must-visit spot. They can sit at cafés right next to the railway, sipping coffee while experiencing the thrill of massive trains rushing past just inches away. If you have not been here yet, you should visit at least once and immerse yourself in the lively, festival-like atmosphere of the place. It has been a long time since I last came here to take photos, so I included the final image as a reference to show you the difference between how this place looked nearly a decade ago and how it is today.
Have you come to Vietnam? My Country
I captured this shot as part of a campaign where the main goal was to balance a natural look with a clear brand message.
Instead of focusing only on “perfect” studio visuals, I tried to keep a bit of real‑life texture in the frame so the product feels more relatable.
