Advertised a free gift with purchase in store but when buying they didn’t even have it in yet and refused to let me come back when actually in stock? England

It’s as it sounds in the title but some more details.

Went to a physical Superdrug store and this is what happened;

-Display stand with fragrance advertising a free bag with purchase (bag was also displayed)
-Advertised was ‘FREE GHOST BAG WITH THE PURCHASE OF SELECTED GHOST FRAGRANCES 50ML AND ABOVE.’
-Went to purchase perfume with 90ML so qualified.
-Told no bags available because they haven’t even had them in yet (they hadn’t ran out they had not even had them yet but were advertising them?)
-Asked if we could collect one later with receipt
-Told no as they could promise one?

Contacted customer service on Facebook messenger;

-Explained everything and I was willing to provide order details, receipt and even pictures or the stand displaying the advertisement.
-Told them I wanted either advertised gift sent to us or for us to pick up from store.
-They told me they can’t do that and gave the fact items are subject to availability when ready anyway.
-Offered me 500 points as a gesture of goodwill?
- I showed pictures of stand displaying physical fragrances and the physical advertised free gift with NO WORD OF SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY?
-I questioned why I can’t get one later?
-I was told again by a different person replying

“Our free gifts are subject to availability so are not always included in everyone’s orders in store or online as they're so popular with our customers. As this is currently out of stock, this will be why no gift was added and I am sorry for the troubles this has caused you. On the website this is clearly address as shown (gave me link) "Looking for a free gift? We all love a gift and when it’s free, well even better! Simply add qualifying products to your basket and a free gift will be automatically added to your order FOR FREE! Please note free gift with purchase is subject to availability." Please note we cannot offer the bag and only the 500 points at this point.”

What I’m asking is how to go about this as
-They don’t seem to be getting what I’m saying because the second person quote online free gifts (I got mine in store)
-The items were never in stock to begin with so hadn’t even been available to begin with but was being advertised - the actual thing having a problem with?
-Why aren’t they just letting me go get one when actually in stock??? Like not even an option to try? Even if they gave the option with the premise of it being subject to availability they just are straight up saying no?

Who do I escalate this to if I can?

I know it sounds petty but it was part of my mums anniversary gift from my dad and the bag did influence the idea of going back to get it - we’d already been in the store and went back just to get the perfume and free gift.

Thank you.

Any info on this Colibri lighter?

Any idea what model this Colibri lighter is? It was bought in 1986 if that helps?

I tried google image search but couldn’t find a match for it. (It at one point told me it was the same model but different colour used by a villain from a James Bond film - double checked it was not!)

Considering whether to keep it or sell it - it’s a beauty to look at I will say!

- if I keep it would it be better for display or use - the refill when I searched up the word molectric seemed difficult?

- would it be worth much or sell quickly? Again google wasn’t helpful in finding a price!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you

Mascara that doesn’t stick the top and bottom lashes together?

Might be a weird one but I find when I use mascara my top and bottom lashes usually at the outer corners like to stick together even after a while of use.

I also find they can go clumpy if I put more than one layer. And one eye (usually my right one) is always nicer looking.

I have long lashes but my ends are a very light blond so mascara is the only way to show the full length.

I’ve used the brand W7 (flirty lashes was a favorite) and maybelline before are there any recommendations to avoid this?

Is Kiko Milano good still?

When speaking to my grandma she told me of when she went to Italy many years ago and bought a lipstick from a kiko milano store, she loved it enough that when she went out to Cardiff a few years ago and she found a kiko store that she repurchased it and even bought some foundation (both she said are still good)

I looked at what she still had and online and it all looks quite good quality and the lipstick she had was only £9 which I feel is a good price?

Any recommendations for Kiko Milano that are worth it? Maybe a holy grail from the brand?

Is Sephora and expensive makeup worth it? Kiko cosmetics a good option?

Recently went in a Sephora store for the first time and loved trying all the samples. Some brands caught my eye like Sephora own brand of multi chrome foil and eyeliner, YSL blushes both liquid and powder and their mascara.

I'm particularly interested in options on YSL MAKE ME BLUSH LIQUID BLUSH in lavender lust, the powdered version of the blush.
The Sephora own multi chrome foil was interesting aswell
- have many people tried that?

They all swatch great but I’m wondering on actual longer wear and different lighting (I feel like a lot of things looked great at the store swatched on my hand but when I was out of the store in direct light or I just looked at them again, some looked completely different?)

Also what's the best places to buy high quality makeup for less if possible?

Is a personal loan my best bet?

So for context I have fair credit at the moment.

I hold two credit cards with NatWest

  1. £2176 with a promotional 0% balance and spending that runs out on the 20th of this month. It charges me £22 a month.

  2. £3425 with a promotional 0% balance and spending that runs out in October but due to a previous balance transfer of £2474 it charges me £114 a month.

I can’t afford to pay off the full amount and I feel like once the promotion ends it will be a lot to pay each month.

I earn about £800 a month and get paid cash, sometimes I get less as that’s also including tips and if they close or I’m ill I don’t get holiday pay.

I put £136 to the payments of credit cards.
£100 in rent (living with parents)
£70 to car insurance
£23 to car tax
£20 for a dog care plan
£33 for a dog insurance
£60 for dog medicine
£25-35 for petrol
£100 to holiday fund

I use to up until a few months ago also paid my parents for letting me borrow money for my car repair and the dogs vets. It stopped around January/February.

So in theory I should have about £200 left right?

Wrong - just this month I had to do another car repair and there always seems to be something with the dogs.

I have spent a lot of the money on an 2 ill dogs (insurance won’t cover) and car repair. The rest is just on my inability to afford it.

I’ve also got each month about £100 going into a holiday account that I can’t back out of as I already moved it forward to this year from last year, this at one point cost me £1000 on flights from the cards. My dad is a main problem with him just saying to use my card for it but not paying me back.

I tried another credit card balance transfer with Barclays but they wanted payslips that I don’t get. I work for cash but get a P45. So I closed the account.
I tried recently for a credit card and was accepted by capital one but even though I stated I need a balance transfer it’s showing only £200 limit, do I need to wait for the card to then apply for the balance transfer?

I also have a newly opened nationwide account that I could possibly get a personal loan from. It would be paid back every month for about £100 but could consolidate the debt to one payment.

I could pay the loan monthly then at the end of the year when I’m expecting to get some money I could pay some back early. Would that affect my credit score?

Is my only option to get a personal loan? Or am I missing anything else?
