Looking for a device to play DS games, asking here just in case if the answer is an emulation handheld since ik Nintendo fans would never mention them.

Is it better or worse, softer or harder etc. I'm thinking about buying one because I love the feel of the og GBA

Which is the better device of the two? I guess this is the modern GBA vs modern GBA SP.

The "new" 2DS XL seems like an appealing choice as a system to play 3DS games because it's lighter than the "new" 3DS XL with XL-sized screens, however it is held back as being a good system due to numerous issues.

-higher rate of RAM failure than other 3DS models (not a super common issue but it's still enough of a problem to be a flaw against the N2DS XL)

-inferior build quality to all 3DS models, shell is significantly more fragile compared to it's "new" 3DS brothers which results in problems such as it's hinge breaking easier and if you say, accidentally drop it, there's a good chance the top screen will break

-nowadays it's often priced similarly to the N3DS XL which is a blatantly superior system making the N2DS XL not worth investing money to get

-removing the battery isn't pleasant unlike every other 3DS system (the OEM battery that comes in every 3DS system should be replaced due to age & safety)

-N2DS XL battery is smaller (1300mAh) so it has inferior battery life compared to its "new" brothers (N3DS: 1400mAh, N3DS XL: 1750mAh)

-N2DS XL speaker placement is where your hands might be (garbage placement)

-N2DS XL not having the 3D effect isn't an advantage since you can just leave the 3D effect off on all 3DS systems that has the ability to turn on the 3D effect

-no N2DS XL systems have IPS panels unlike its "new" 3DS brothers so those systems have a higher chance of having superior screens

Do not ever buy the "new" 2DS XL with the intent of playing 3DS games.
