Retrying a workout I failed due to heat same day?

Curious what you all think of this - I started a 1h 30m over under workout at noon today as the temperature has dropped off outside, however apparently my garage didn't get the memo and I failed it after 50 minutes having only done one and a half of the 3x12 intervals (Garage was 33 degrees c and I was just overheating instantly starting an interval). That was only 52 TSS and I was supposed to do 120 today.

Curious whether in this instance the stress from that sort of heat induced interval failure would put you off trying again much later in the day. I scheduled to do a 79 TSS 1 hour over under session for tonight that I am planning to do at 9-10pm after sunset and the temperature is dropping 6c. Good idea or should I just leave the day as is?

Any lesser known mecha role playing games?

Hi all! I as we all are am I massive fan of mecha, be it Battletech, Macross, Gundam, Votoms, Lancer etc etc.

I'm just curious if any of you can recommend any tabletop roleplaying games that are much lesser known that you would recommend, even if just for the setting and the mechs (I can work with crappy rules and have fun). Next one I am looking at is Heavy Gear but I'm sure there are some interesting ones that might even be out of print that I have overlooked.

Thanks!

Does Season mode have some sort of dynamic difficulty?

Just curious, started playing this week (my first baseball game) and lost the first couple of games, then won 4 in a row fairly convincingly, then all of a sudden within the same series the Hawks are hitting like 5-6 home runs a game against me. Maybe I'm imagining it - I know the batting assistance set to auto kind of does this but I'm pitching the same way and going from striking out every single batter easily to then just getting dumped on like 15-0 the next game in the series.

Looking at a £4000-£5000 budget for an Ultegra Di2 road bike.

I have been looking through various sales and different brand and I honestly have no idea where I am leaning towards. I currently have a Canyon Endurace with Tiagra, alu wheels and the cables aren't fully integrated, and now that it's starting to have a few issues that need bike shop work I'm considering just going up to a bike that will keep me for several years.

I am tempted by an Orbea because I like the design, but leaning away from Canyon because if I'm spending that much money I want an interesting colourway and Canyons are boring black or white. Cube also seems to have very good value for money on this sort of spec bike.

Any clear and away winners from certain brands in terms of better spec than equivalent bikes or significant savings?

Best times wrong?

My profile shows 6:48 as my best 100 mile time, yet I've only done 100 miles one time in 6 hours 20... why is this incorrect and how do I change it to display correctly? I'm not even sure where it's got 6 hours 48 from, as I've never done a ride that long.

Sudden index finger tip numbness

I’ve ridden the same road bike and gravel bike for 9 months now, through most of the winter too, with a mixture of full hand gloves and two pairs of mitts that I rotate just based on colour.

I’ve suddenly started getting insane numbness in my index finger tips only, even starting just 8km into 100km rides. Sit position and handlebar positions are the same, I have not changed the bike setup at all in the last 9 months on either bike. I’ve done 2000+ miles on these bikes combined with no pain until now.

Is there something I’m missing here? Am I taking a more aggressive position more often and therefore putting more pressure on a nerve in the palm of my hand? Or is this likely to be something more obvious? I’m really disheartened and riding less outside because of this issue now because I can’t get my head around what has changed in the last few weeks to cause it.

Japanese car for weekends/trackdays?

I’m keen on a Japanese second car I can take to trackdays and just rag around in general. Been looking for various things but not really after spending more than £5k, which rules out a bunch of the more desirable JDM favourites. I’d love an Impreza but most models seem to be up there in price now unless they’re modified beyond belief or junk.

Any ideas on this one? Really not a fan of Miatas/MX5 but seems to be the only realistic option for the money these days.

I am pondering buying or at least travelling to inspect a GTO SR, naturally aspirated version with an auto gearbox with about 95,000 miles on it. I was curious about the twin turbo version but the prices on those in similar condition are at least double if not triple the price, which considering I am interested in the car as a second vehicle for weekend driving/road trips is not worth the added cost. It's all stock, looks to be in great condition but obviously I would need to check it out fully in person. Price is about £5000 which is just shy of $7000.

The reason I am posting is mainly to see if buying a 90s GTO without any mechanics experience of my own would be a stupid thing to do. I love the car fo rit's design, the same as the FTO, but am more interested in the GTO for the added performance and the more striking design. Any thoughts from GTO/3000GT owners here, how did you find owning one if you are unable to do your own maintenance and would be relying on local mechanics?

Thanks, interested to learn more about Mitsubishis as I usually drive BMWs as my main vehicle.
