How do they use stands?

How do stand users physically use them? Do they just think really hard? Are they like puppets but just mentally controlled? Or are they like completely separate beings with their own consciousness and actions they do are completely separate from the user? I would imagine to some degree that has to be the case since star platinum stopped the bullet when jotaro tried to shoot himself.

Also a side question, can stand users see through their stands eyes? Like could jotaro hide behind a corner and have star platinum peak around it for him?

Is it okay if I just don't this year?

I'm in my fifth year of teaching. High school Geometry. 9th graders.

Every single year I put in so much effort, especially into the first week. Ice breakers, games, activities, group work, still to get to know them. And every single time I might have 1, maybe 2 students who actually enjoy them. Every other student just whines and groans and complains "Bruh I don't wanna say no motherfuckin thing about myself."

This year I kinda just want to get everyone in, go over the syllabus, and then give them a 20 question geometry pre test due at the end of class that's not graded but just for SLO (student learning objective). Maybe some crosswords and coloring sheets for when they're done, and I put on some smooth calming jazz music. Just chill, low effort stuff. I'm already in the process of trying to transition out of teaching anyways.

And then on day 2 and after just go into teaching. Usually I do pre printed out guided notes, I write the standards and objectives on the board, I put memes in them, I do all sorts of little games and activities throughout the notes. And like I'll still make sure they're rigorous. But no one else, no other math teacher does that. The guided notes. They make a power point, kids copy them onto paper. I think I'm gonna do that this year. Either that or just simple stuff. Diagrams and problems written out. But I'm tired of kids just copying down what I write down and then falling asleep because I fill out half the notes for them.

And I hope this doesn't come off as too defeatist, it's not like I'm really depressed or anything about this. If anything it'd be a lot less work on my part. If they don't care and me putting in all this effort for things only causes issues, why should I?

Is my school districts song, supposedly written by our superintendent, AI? It just really feels like it, even when they were singing it it sounded like an AI song.

Also the entire presentation she gave was 1000% AI. I won't post pictures of it because it would give away where I work out but everyone could tell it was.

This will be my last year as a teacher

This is my fifth year and my last. I have realized over the past 2 weeks that I have been absolutely dreading going back to school. It's not even that my school is bad or district is bad. Although there is a lot other districts do better and our school report card is a 40. It's just the kids. I'm sorry but I just can't be in an environment that's not professional. I'm a very social and out going person. But all the swearing, smelling like weed, having to stop fights, and just the constant negativity. I can't be around it. I can't be in a job where my primary objective is to get a bunch of 14 year olds to st own and be quiet for 10 minutes when they're throwing chairs and yelling out "fat ass" when my back is turned to the board. I understood going into teaching there were gonna be a few issues here and there with student behavior but my God. I graduated high school in 2016, how have they devolved this badly in less than 10 years?

Regardless, I'm just done. Throughout this school year I will actively be seeking jobs and as soon as I find one, and I do feel like a jerk for leaving in the middle of the school year, but I'm gone. I have a bachelor's in math, a masters in education, and a masters in Instructional Tech. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Good luck everyone. Let me know if it gets better.

Pokemon original Demo theme song?

I watched this video today on the original e3 press conference reveal of bringing pokemon to america from 1998. And among other things, they had what appeared to be the demo theme song of Pokemon, with a slightly different lyric of the catch phrase. Instead of "gotta catch em all" it's "Catch em if you can".

Does anyone know more about this or if there's a full version of the song somewhere out there on the internet? It's hard to hear it over the announcer in the video.

Very excited but disappointed

I got to meet and get my Funko pop signed by the English voice actor of kurapika, Erika Harlacher. And it was awesome to get it signed. But I was a bit upset to find out how much it was. 82 bucks. On the website for the con it said autographs were 40. And I mean I guess it's fine, I was happy to pay the 82 bucks. But the fact that it's a Funko pop meant suddenly it cost an extra 40 bucks just kinda shocked me. I authenticated it for another 15 so all together it was almost 100 bucks. Like don't get me wrong, again I'm happy to have it. But I just remember going to anime cons back in 2017, 2018, and getting a signed yugioh dvd from the voice of yugi, the main guy, dan green, for 5 bucks. Nothing against the voice actress, heck other VAs were there too charging 60 for the signature alone, but still.

When is the latest I should go?

My Wendy's closes at 1 am. Sometines I wanna get some food at 12 30, I'm a night owl. Wendy's is the only place that's open by that time but I feel bad. Is that an okay time to order?

Cool little bumpy error

Idk if this would just be an error or what, I've never had a misprint before. But this is the closest I've ever pulled.

It's like bumpy. Like you can feel the little "strips". They're protruding out. It's bumpy on the back too but not as visible.

Names that take a normal word and replace part of it with john

In my dnd campaign I'm making an evil army of people who all have the word John in their name.

Right now all I have is Parme John (like parmesan, like the cheese) and Auto John (like the Autobahn car) but that's one's a bit iffy because it just vaguely rhymes and doesn't sound like the actual word like Parme John does.

The John part can be anywhere.
