Should I apply to a non certified job first?

I already brought the books for self study. I applied to a job that was non-certified and got rejected however there is another one but I worry that I won't be able to apply again if I get rejected to this one. I feel like my resume is too thin and sad because I have no higher education and I've only worked in retail. Getting the certification would definitely help but it would only be a provisional one so I also risk the chance of loosing it in 6 months especially in this job market. I live near Chicago and there seems to somehow be no jobs in sterile processing anywhere that doesn't want you have 56 years of experience.

Backing put of a car after paperwork (capital one) am I okay?

So I signed some papers with a dealership with capital one at this dealership and I was supposed to bring in the check today. However my beloved Grandma passed away and I need to use my down payment to fly to California for her funeral. I sent a text about backing out of the contract. They said all sales are final and that everything was sent to the Bank and "we spent $800 fixing the dents of the car aswell". It had a bump on the side and surface level rust that we had asked for them to fix. I have not driven the car off the lot or have given them any money. I think I'm fine but not sure.

16% apr for a used car

I'm looking at a 2017 Mazda6 no accidents 2 owners for $15,260 with 70k miles. Runs beautifully and I love the car. It's $16,678 alone with state tax etc ignoring all interest. I am putting $4k down. Now upon my research I understand that is an ASININE apr. *I did apply for a credit union however is it the weekend and I probably won't be getting anything until Monday*

I would be paying $305 a month for a car no warranty $360 with full warranty (I want the warranty). It's $215 for insurance.

What sort of APR should I be looking for? I am 21 almost 22. My current credit score is 730 but I have a "thin file" because I don't have much history. I have a perfect payment history and minimal student loans (2k). I have one credit card. My credit score has jumped over 100pts because of that credit card in about a year.

I have been explained to that because I have a thin file my apr is bound to be high especially as a first time buyer. Which I understand so I thought 13% apr was okay but after even more research I learned that is also terribly high for someone like me.

Does the Carfax look okay? 100k miles $15k toyota corolla 0 accidents 2 owners (previous rental)

The rental is the only thing bugging me 70k miles in like 3 years.

I am between a 2016 Mazda 6, 2014 Honda civic, 2016 acura ilx, 2022 Toyota corolla

-2016 Mazda 6 95k miles no accidents $14k dollars

0 accidents 3 owners

-2014 Honda civic 115k miles going for $9.5 dollars

1 accident 4 owners

-2016 acura ILX 102k miles going for 12k dollars

2 accidents 3 previous owners

-2022 toyota corolla 100k miles going for 15k

no accidents 2 previous owners (former rental)

I'm leaning towards the Mazda and the toyota. The acura is probably the worse one out of the bunch but i do like it. I am a new driver and I would prefer some sensors. The Honda civic would probably be brought fully in cash so that's also a plus.

Einstein: Thank you pidgey power community 🩵

Einstein's leg has fully recovered and he hasn't lost any weight! He's still at 84 grams but he's happily singing in the first picture with his little superman pancake pose. He can now walk forward perfectly fine. He can put weight on his leg. He's reaching for spinach and eating well. He's not sleeping all day with puffy feathers. My boy is going to be okay!

I want to thank everyone in this community who has given me support and advice for my birdy. I was sure I was going to lose my bird but you guys gave me hope and patience and confidence in my vet and Einstein's capability to bounce back. Thank you so much everyone 💕

Einstein update: strong decline?

Pictures 1&4 are from right now. 2&3 are from the morning. Yesterday he was singing his little heart out and this morning he looks awful. Its his last day of antibiotics idk if that is making him feel this way. He can walk much better now but I'm afraid he came down with something but maybe he's sleepy? In my last picture you can see two of my other birds also sleepy. I weighed him and at the vet he was 88g and now hes 81g. 😔 He'll wake up a bit and start grooming himself but then back to sleep. He looked so good yesterday idk what happened. Does anyone have experience with antibiotics with their birds?

Einstein update: singing + hopeful news

Einstein despite his injuries is still himself thankfully. I contacted the vet over text and sent in some pictures about my concerns. She was very confident it was a soft tissue injury and said I could change his pain medication or do the x-ray if I felt so. Einstein is in the hands of time at the moment. Last day of medication is tomorrow.

He's still grooming himself, he chirps back at me, he can still fly and climb to my dismay. He's putting more pressure on his foot and he's not limping as much but only time can tell what I'll do with the bird next. I got him to sing today.

Also thank you to everyone who commented on my last posts. I did put in a flat perch and he likes it a lot more for sleeping. I know everyone wants me to lower his perches but he just climbs up anyways so I was told to keep it that way. He's started perching on the lower perch recently despite the nice flat one. I am home today so he's out on top of the regular cage and he's so much happier there. I of course am monitoring my boy.

Possible leg dislocation 3 year old cockatiel

Long story short my bird(Einstein) was plucking so I brought him a cone to temporarily put on while I waited for a vet appointment. (Memorial day)

When I put the cone on he started struggling and panicking as expected. However the cone was too big and he injured himself while trying to climb with it and stopped walking normally.

I rushed him to the emergency vet and they ran a bunch of test and bloodwork and so on. They gave me meds for pain and a chronic infection. They said his leg is fine but just sore. They pulled on his leg and it responded so they said that a x-ray was not necessary so I declined it.

I however have extreme anxiety and suspicion that is it dislocated and I wanted to ask this community over here for more opinions or if anyone has experience. I want to trust the vets but I also understand its expected for me to be anxious about this. The vet bill was 900 dollars and a new x-ray would be an additional 300 dollars plus anything else if they do find something.

I notice that his injured leg kind of hangs father back? He can climb with it poorly and can slightly put pressure on it. I would assume that when a birds leg is sore they just lift it up into the void of their fluff but his is dangling farther back.

Also he has a broken but healed wing and that it is fine. I have a post in pidgeypower with more details Post

Einstein Update: unfortunate injury

In my last post about my boy I was asking for help about plucking while I waited for a vet appointment. I decided to order a bird cone for the meanwhile.(It was a holiday so no regular hours) Unfortunately when I put it on he struggled with it as I assume all birds do when they get their cone of shame. He kept biting at it and the usual stuff you would assume a bird would do. The cone however was too big for him and it kept getting in his way. He somehow got injured from struggling with the cone and he stopped using one of his legs all within the span of 3 minutes of me putting it on.

I immediately rushed him to emergency and they ran bloodwork gave him some pain meds. They said they pulled on his leg and he responded well so they said they didnt think he needed an X-ray because it was not broken. He came home with me with meds and I am absolutely anxious to the nines.

He can grab things and climb but very very very slowly. His wing was already broken but it looks worse now (no recent injury to the wing) he has little to no coordination because of his injured foot I am so so so so so so worried about him.

Idk if I should ask for an x-ray or fully trust the vets. I have absolutely no idea how to help besides give him his meds. When I think about it I dont see how his leg could break from struggling with the cone. I can only imagine a neurological issue or his spine but I think he would be toast by now??? Idk I just need reassurance or advice. The vet bill came out to be $901 dollars too so I'm considering making a fundraiser but man I'm so lost. I just want my boy to be healthy and happy.

Einstein is plucking

We have had Einstein for 3 years. He is a pied whiteface cockatiel with a broken wing that has healed. Someone at home impulse brought him and it wasn't until long ago that I asked if I could keep him and he became mine.

When he came home he couldn't fly and was very skinny. He has put on more weight and can now fly and he hasn't had any issues besides those. Hes improved a lot but I have noticed that he is plucking unfortunately.

Einstein is my most difficult bird. He's hard to grab not only because of his wing but his general distrust of us. He's become comfortable enough to hop on my hand when I take him out the cage or when I put him home. He likes to stay inside the cage away from others and I never see him touch any toys.

I've brought him a cone that is arriving today but I'm not sure what I can do to improve his lifestyle to make him happier. I make my own toys and buy them. I also have a foraging box. There are 4 other birds in the cage so hes not alone but he prefers to be.

He spends all day just "grooming" himself. I dont see any feathers being pulled out or him making any noises of pain when he does. But he is missing feathers all underneath his wings and some bald spots on the top of his wing and near his bird pants. He is also currently molting.

I need direction from people who are more experienced with these types of things. So any advice or personal experience would be helpful. Yes I do plan on taking him to the vet but this is a temporary solution while I get the ball rolling. Appointments are all taken up.

Mother's day hell

For whatever fucking reason the Holidays are always the fucking worse. This shitty car wash brings these fucking idiots in like flies attracted to shit, they fucking come in with their stupid fucking attitudes and their fucking stupid faces to be assholes.

I work at a car wash that sells memberships and when you buy one you can drive up and the camera will read your license plate and let you in automatically. If not I have to let them in manually.

This lady was already staring me fucking down as I was walking over she had an issue with her account on the app and it said ERROR. She starts fucking complaining that this cannot keep happening and that she needs to fucking cancel and what not. So I have to tell her to call the fucking hotline to fix it or to cancel. She brought the 300 dollar yearly plan (who the fuck buys that shit) so it's even more complicated and out of my control. And so then she goes "What's that?" So I clarify she has to call to fix her issue for the 5th time. And then she says "Do I look like I know what the fucking number is" (it's on the app and you can also get support on there). So I go and get her the fucking card and she fucking asks for my name and I finally fucking stand up for myself.

I said no I'm not giving you my name and you don't get to treat me that way over something that I can't control. Mind you it's 8 in the fucking morning. She tells me that I don't know how to do my fucking job and calls me a bitch and drives off.

Fuck you Danielle you fucking nasty bitch
