I successfully swapped over my Engine's UI library from ImGui to Qt

Hello everyone!

For the past 6 months I've been working on my Platform Nebrix and I've been using the UI library ImGui although recently I've been working to switch to Qt.

The reason I did this is because in the future I want to add Mobile Support to Nebrix. Although ImGui does not natively support ImGui and from what I've heard it's really not designed for Mobile while Qt does natively support it.

I had to rewrite a lot of the engine's code because Qt keeps UI elements in memory and updates them when they change, rather than rebuilding and drawing the entire UI every frame.

I've been working really hard on this project and it is planned to release in 2027! Im currently working on Ray tracing so if you want to see more check out our discord or website :)

Why does my turtle’s tank have 2 layers?

Hello! I was cleaning my turtle’s tank when I noticed that there seems to be 2 layers of sand no matter what? One is illuminated and the other is less illuminated and no matter what It seems to keep roughly the same distance in Height on the first layer No matter if I move it or not. It’s all the same sand, same light, yet I dont know why this happens and why the height on the first layer is so specific? Could anyone explain this to me? Does the first layer cut out some wave lengths of light or something?

Is my turtles shell healthy?

Hello!

I have a one year old pink belly side neck turtle and recently I’ve noticed that he hasn’t been shedding his scutes and he has green algae like some on some of his scutes. I was just wondering how to help the scouting process? Thanks!

Ive been developing a online Multiplayer Platform for the past few months [Nebrix]

Hello everyone!

For the past 5–6 months, I've been working on a project called Nebrix, a Roblox inspired platform built from scratch in C++ and OpenGL.

Nebrix combines a custom game engine, multiplayer networking, game creation tools, and Lua scripting into a single platform where users can create and play games for free!

I started the project because I felt there was a need for another Roblox styled platform focused on community feedback and creator freedom. Since then, it has grown into a much larger project than I originally expected.

Some of the features currently implemented include:

  • OpenGL-based rendering
  • Lua scripting support
  • Multiplayer networking
  • Game publishing
  • Chat moderation/filtering
  • Standalone player client
  • World-building and editor tools

The project is still in active development and is currently planned for release in 2027 though I would love to start building a community if your interested. Here are some links:

Feedback on my website for my Game Platform Nebrix?

Hello! I created a basic website design for my game platform Nebrix and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or things that I should add onto it? There are 2 main pages, them being: index.html and about.html. Its still really basic for now but could anyone give some feedback? Thanks!

How do websites generate HTML files from other languages?

Hello! Sorry I am very new to web development and I was wondering how big websites like Amazon or other things make all their HTML files as there are alot? I googled it and it said they generate HTML files using other languages. I was wondering how they do that? If anyone can inform me that would be great thanks!

Just finished processing. What are these dark circles on my image?

Hello! I had a 1 minute video of Jupiter taken from my iPhone 13 Mini on a 8" Dob although I just finished processing it through PIPP, AutoStakkert, and Registax and there are some weird dark circles on the image? Can anyone explain why this happened or how to fix this? Is it too long of a video? It was taken at 60FPS and 4K

Hello everyone :D

Ive been working on my game engine called Nebrix for quite a while now and im proud to say that V0.2 is released with the main features being adding servers!

My long term goal is to make it a full multiplayer platform where people can play games, create them, and so much more! In V0.2 it comes with game saving and loading on the actual server meaning if you go on another computer and log into your account you can see the games you've created!

Its still in early development so if anyone is willing to test it out that would be amazing!

So ive been wanting space engine for quite a while but wasent willing to spend $40 CAD. So I tried to download an old version (V 0.9.8.0) that was still free on my newer laptop but it didn't work because the drivers are too new. So I tried on my older desktop with a GTX 960 and it worked! I don't care if its outdated, its about having fun :)

Ive had this pink belly side neck turtle for almost a year now but recently I noticed these orange scabby things on his belly? They arent on his back at all, they don't stink, and they arent squishy.

He gets proper basking, his water quality is good, and he is very healthy other then this? Do you think this is shell rot or a different fungal infection? Ive just never seen shell rot orange and its not white at all? He hasent had any injuries or anything.

Does anyone have any ideas on what it is or how to treat it?
