I’m sorry but some councilors have exhibited some racist rhetoric, whether purposeful or not is insulting the minority portion of our community! Councilor Moody made a comment about Chiefs and Indians yesterday, which I give her credit to for apologizing for in a Facebook post, but still do not think it was correct.

Now tonight during the DEI budget hearing, Moody makes the Motion to cut the entire DEI budget. This is so crazy, I cant even begin to understand the ignorance and white priviledge. it failed, thank goodness!

As for Councilor Cunningham, he proposed cutting bilingual employees and replacing them with AI and when the head of DEI stated his concerns about different language dialects, Cam shot it down and said that AI is quite proficient and our DEI expert is incorrect. His White privilege in this situation is disgraceful!

To be clear, I understand we are in a budget crisis, but I think there is no place for racially motivated comments, whether purposeful or not. I know it may not happen but both Councilors Moody and Cunningham owe The Pittsfield Minorities a huge apology for their insensitive and quite rude comments in tonight’s budget hearing!

Ok, how do I put this? I have a close friend, (almost the friend like family kind of vibe) that wants my mom to walk them down the aisle at their wedding. I was asked how I felt about it this morning and was kind of without words, it does not feel off in terms of how close we all are, but there is something about it that doesn't quite sit right with me. In saying that, I don't want to ruin this person's wedding. It's not like it's a broken parent situation either, their two parents are both in the picture. But I have a really uncomfortable feeling about this and I just don't know, it doesn't sit well with me. I don't really have a reason, it's just a little odd.

Any advice is good advice.

His most recent post, slide 2. Liamani and Malia arrive on the carpet, and Kylie and Liamani embrace in a hug. Kylie goes to embrace Malia who snarls (best word I could come up with), then brushes by her and awkwardly stands next to her. Then tries to move away from her as they keep taking photos.
