Launched my Spurs blog this summer, Full Court Press. Trying for semi-daily articles about the Spurs there. Subscribing is free and much appreciated, but you don't have to subscribe to read!

In the Spurs' preseason loss to the Suns, Wemby led the team with six assists. Mitch Johnson and Stephon Castle appreciate his court vision, but they want him to remain aggressive. He'll have to balance that once the regular season starts. For now at least, being timid isn't a bad thing

Bringing plants inside

Usually, like most people, I restart my garden every year. This year, though, I have a dwarf pomegranate and an olive tree on my patio in pots. They've loved the full sun, and I just water them when I water my tomatoes. Now that it's starting to get cold, I want to bring them inside. My plan is to put them on a shelf by a window with a grow light. I'll take them in before the first freeze, and repot them with cactus mix since the potting soil they're in doesn't drain well, and they won't be getting as much light as they did over the summer. Good plan? Anything else I should do? I plan on treating them like houseplants, watering when the soil gets dry, and taking them back outside in April

Algae is starting to grow

I've had this tank up for about a year and a half. Had issues with duckweed, but never with algae...until about two months ago. I didn't add any fish (in fact, some recently died so there's less than ever) or change the lighting schedule. 12 hours on, 12 hours off. The algae is not out of control, but it is growing quicker than ever.

I just did a small water change and scraped the glass, so it looks better than it did.

Stocking: seven harlequin rasboras, five pearl danios, three yoyo loaches, one hillstream loach, one honey gourami, a bunch of blue shrimp

Broken Water Feature?

The bottom of my tank is sponge, with a water pump buried in it. That way, I can have a waterfall without any standing water. The problem is, the pump is driving me a bit crazy with the noise. If I turn it off, I'll just have stagnant water under the sponge, not circulating at all. There's a bunch of plants rooted in the sponge, as well. Can I turn it off, or would that be risky?

I know I'm missing something...

I have a Wordpress site, been running it for two months. My posts have been linked on Yahoo, Sporting News, some other well-known, bigger sites, but it's not appearing in Google search. I submitted a site map, requested indexing, but only 11 pages are indexed. The other 227 are not. The "discourage search engines" box in WordPress is not checked. When I check the page source, I see the following:

Lost my first fish in 18 months

I have a planted 40-gallon. Lost a honey gourami today, around three years old. First loss in 18 months, and the last one was a jumper who got startled by the lights turning on. Seems my track record is decent (knock on wood). Water parameters are normal; everyone else is swimming and not breathing heavily or anything. Should I be worried, or do these things happen?

What am I doing wrong (ranking in Google)?

I'm sure this is a question this sub gets a lot, but I can't seem to find anything relevant. I started my site about three months ago as a news site for my favorite sports team. I have around 80 posts up, 150 subscribers to the Jetpack newsletter, I post every link on social media, and dozens of my articles have been linked on established sites like Yahoo, Sporting News, Athlon, and Heavy. The page views are pretty good, but none of them are coming from Google search. If I search for my articles or exact phrasing, Google returns no results. The "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" box is not checked. Almost all of my articles get a "good" Yoast SEO score.

Please note that when it comes to this sort of stuff, I am a moron, and dumbing it down would be much appreciated.

Olive tree in zone 6a

I live in zone 6a. I bought an olive tree from Trader Joe's in April, and it's doing very well in a pot. But when things start to get cold, what should I do? Bring it in? Stop watering it? Prune it at all? And my biggest fear is bringing in bugs inside. What can I flush the pot out with the day before I bring it in? I have houseplants inside and a big garden outside, but I've never moved anything in and out before.

Is meteorite a good idea?

I'm shopping for a wedding band (men's, if it matters) and found a ring I really love at a nostalgic shop, made by a fairly well-known jeweler. The ring is yellow gold and meteorite. I've never really worn jewelry before. Can I shower with it? Wash dishes with it? Sleep with it? Basically, when should I take it off? And how "aware" should I be of it? Can I go through a pretty normal day (office job) with it on? Are there any reasons why I shouldn't get it?

First tank, just cleaned the glass

This is the 40-gallon by my desk! It's stocked with four honey gouramis, eight harlequin rasboras, five celestial danios, three yoyo loaches, and three hillstream loaches. I use aquarium coop test strips regularly, and all of my readings are stable. I haven't done a water change in a loooooong time. The plants are a jungle, but I sort of like the overgrown look. All the algae I scraped off makes me think I was overfeeding, but the water parameters are solid. Let me know your thoughts or what improvements I can make! Lights are on for 12 hours a day, running two sponge filters

Crispy Leaves

The leaves on my monstera are getting sort of crispy. I've had this plant growing in my fish tank for around 18 months now, with the lights on 12 hours a day. In the last seven months, it's lost the bottom two leaves and only pushed out one new leaf. I added a Thai constellation in a pot next to it (also with roots in the water) and want them to eventually cover the entire wall. If the lights are burning the plants, why are they just now starting to show crispy leaves, and how long would you recommend running the lights for?

First-time pond. Can I stock anything?

Long-time tropical aquarist, first time "pond person." This is my 50 gallon pond embedded in my herb garden. It has a bog-style filter (on 24 hours) and two solar aerators. In an ideal world, I'd like to add fish. A few things to note:

- 50 gallons
- Cycled! The water is cloudy in this picture because I was messing with the gravel bottom. Usually it's pretty clear
- 155GPH pump
- There are plants growing in leca, and it gets a decent amount of shade. There is cover
- I'm in the midwest. I will freeze in the winter, and it gets pretty hot in the summer

Can I add fish? If so, what would you reccomend and how would I go about over-wintering them?

Finally seeing my frogs

Fair price for shorts?

I'm not looking to hire an editor...yet

But when I am, I'll be writing and shooting short-form content for a sports audience. I would write the script, provide editing instructions, source b-roll, and provide images for backgrounds/to show athletes. No motion graphics or animation would be required. My budget for videos between 50 and 100 seconds is only around $25 per video. Is that realistic or do I need to reassess?

Pages vs. Categories

At the top of my page are six different pages: about, support us, news, opinion, video, and rumors. When I publish a post, I can pick between four categories: news, opinion, video, and rumors. However, once the post is live, it only shows up on my home page, not under the correct category. How do I send posts to both the home page and the correct "category" page?
