Wife took a rock from a dump truck. Windshield was covered by insurance and at a “guaranteed” shop. The body shop subs out their glass work. Needless to say nobody can do their job right these days. They said they’ll be calling me to come out and fix. Can someone post a photo of their trim so I can compare? Especially the rubber flap at the bottom, the one near the wiper . Thanks .

Panorama mode, saved as multiple photos? How do I make it into a panorama photo?

Isn’t this automated? I was pretty excited when I first tried the panorama mode and saw the drone doing its thing on its own, pretty cool to see! But I just plugged my SD into my phone and here’s what it looks like. Each panorama photo I took has its own folder and when I open the folder, this is what I see lol.

Which stain to use and when to stain? Can we wait until next year? Cedar

What do you guys recommend as far as staining goes? I’ve heard of wood defender, not much else. I just put this up about 6 weeks ago, should I wait until next year or is it better to do it before winter?

Is this safe or possible to plug? Cooper AT4s

Extremely slow leak. No one has an all terrain used tire in the area

Fence was perfectly straight, 3 weeks later, 1 rail bowed out. #1 prowood 2x4s

Anyone ever seen this happen?? You can’t tell when you’re looking straight at it, but from the side you definitely can. What do you guys do when this happens and a customer calls? Out of all the sections, this is the only rail that did this ( so far) 🙏

For guys that do this for a living, how do you deal with roots/ rocks when your fence business drives posts only?

I just put up a fence with 27 postmasters + 2 gate posts. I used a gas driver and successfully drove 24 of them. 3 of them, I dug a 42” hole and used concrete, only because I couldn’t fit the post and driver due to the overhang of the house and shed being in the way. I also used concrete on the gate posts because my driver wouldn’t fit and just for more strength imo. Only 2 I hit a rock and 1 I hit a root but it was only like 6” down so I cut it out and dug it out and pounded away.
For the fence companies that avoid concrete, how do you deal with this when you run into problems?

For you guys that do end up drilling a hole, what auger do you use that doesn’t cost arm and a leg but is strong and reliable? I used a plug in electric one and it was a PITA. Had to hand dig most of it.
Thanks for everyone’s input !

Here’s my fence

Modern Fence Technologies gravity latch… what’s the problem?

Wife and I are trying to figure this out. How does this work??? Anyone use one of these?? It’s going on a postmaster gate post so I put it on a cut off to test it out.. I put a self tapping screw through the “gravity” latch, when it’s tight, it doesn’t move unless you move it by hand, which will eventually make the screw so loose that it’ll have to keep getting retightened. Am I missing something?? Baffled

Master Halco gate posts and gate frame

I bought 2 gate posts, and a 59” gate frame, just like in the photos. I’ll be cementing these in 42” down since my driver won’t fit em.
I’m all done with my fence just need to build the gate.
For you guys that use these, how wide apart should the gate posts be for the 59” gate frame?
What hardware do you guys recommend?
Thanks so much for all your help!

How do you keep a postmaster plumb in concrete while it’s setting?

I drove 26 posts but need to set 2 gate posts and 1 regular postmaster in concrete. I’m using regular concrete, how do you guys keep em level while it’s drying before it hardens. I’ve seen how it’s done with 4x4s but nothing on postmasters.

How close do you get to the siding? Offset from corner or in line?

DIY here driving postmasters. I have 2 questions.

  1. How close to the house do you drive your post?
  2. Should the fence be in line with the house or little offset? Seems to me most houses I see it’s offset. See pic. The red is offset and yellow is in line with the house.. Thanks so much for any advice it’s much appreciated.

Picked up a vevor post driver, this piece was losely placed inside the tube, what is it and how to install it?

Assuming it’s for larger diameter posts, but how do I install it? The Allen bolts around the silver tube have thread lockers, which is fine, but is the only way to get it in?

Postmaster V3. Looking for cheap gas driver that’ll do the job.

From what I’ve been reading and some research, the V3, which is the only line post MH carries now, can only be driven with certain gas drivers? It’s 3.6” wide..most of the 3-400$ range drivers I’m seeing only go up to 3.46”…
Anyone know what my options are???
I’m DIY, with a business account at masterhalco…not looking to spend 2gs on a driver lol.
Thanks for any advice !!!

I’m building a fence using postmasters. I called sunbelt about their post driver, but they can’t guarantee an adapter for the postmaster, said they come and go and most people don’t return them. I’m putting up about 25 posts. How much of a hassle and PITA is it if i use a manual driver?
Or is there a DIY way to make an adapter for the postmaster?

Car has a P0420 code. Major leak in this flex pipe, it’s pretty rusted out. This entire time I’m thinking it needs a new front cat, but now I think it might not? Could this be causing the code? Should I fix this first and see what happens? I only have a basic code reader, so no way for me to really test if the cats are working properly . Car has 196k on the clock. Thanks for any advice

Replacing the cat and just pulled this bad boy off( upstream). Not sure why new ones cost over 150$…

Can I effectively clean it and go another 10k?

Or has anyone had luck with cheaper knock offs?

Thanks
