Recommendations for really catchy thai songs?

Hi! Trying to learn thai language and I find that listening to music has really helped solidify phrases/words that I've had trouble memorizing. Like, i could never remember the word for ever, handsome, life, etc, like I knew them but they just slipped from my mind constantly, but since listening to thai songs with those words in them, my brain has latched on and stuff. My fav thai songs so far are:

  1. คนสุดท้าย (Asanee & Wasan).

  2. อย่าเปิดเพลงนั้น (Takkatan Chollada)

  3. คุกเข่า (Cocktail).

  4. ผีตายโหงกับโลงไม้ยาง (วงแบเบาะ)

  5. ใจสั่งมา (Loso).

Plus a number of others by Cocktail. These are the ones I have had on repeat though. Any other recommendations are welcome !!

Learning thai and just feeling like I'm not progressing fast enough.

Hi! Currently living in Southern Thailand. I have been here for 2 months and will be here for another year. I'm doing full-time Thai (TL) language study, and as of right now, I know the entire alphabet, the special characters (mai tai khu, thantakhat, etc etc). I can read very basic signs and phrases and can also spell some words, etc. I can hold VERY basic conversations (think: talking about hobbies, food, weather, asking where someone was born/if they were born in the south, asking for directions, ordering food and drinks). I try to strike up coversations with grab drivers, hair dresses, fellow thai students and they understand me like 90% of the time, but i often struggle to understand them. In Bangkok, i could understand a lot of what was being said but not so much in the south (although it's getting better a bit?)

My biggest problems right now are listening and losing my tone/reverting back to my native way of speaking when I'm nervous (not reverting back to english but saying thai words the way i would say an english sentence...)The listening thing is my biggest gripe because i KNOW what is being said like 70% of the time, but I go into fight or flight whenever a native speaker rapid fires thai at me and I just freeze. I feel like i know so MUCH but at the same time, i feel like i know absolutely nothing !! I study every day, i interact with locals as much as possible and even when they initiate conversations in english, I ALWAYS respond in thai just to let them know I can speak it a bit. But i just feel like i should be better by now like idk??? I just feel so dumb all the time. Is it normal???

Does anyone know what this dish is? I had it in Chengdu last year and it was genuinely one of the best things I have ever eaten.

[LOVED TROPE] whatever this genre of quote/love/media is called.

  1. Everything everywhere all at once - CEO Waymond telling Evelyn that, even though he's rich and successful in this life, he would still choose to do mundane and boring things in another life if it meant he got to do those things with her.

  2. I swear somewhere this works (poem by Trista Mateer) - a piece that I love bc it captures that desire to live an uneventful life with a person you love. It dismisses the idea that love is violent and crazy and unpredictable, and instead, embraces the tranquility and certainty that can come with love. And also acknowledges the pain of not being able to live that sort of life with a person you care about.

  3. Cyberpunk edgerunners x I Really Want To Stay at Your House: Maybe not a perfect fit, but I feel like I Really Want to Stay at Your House kinda captures that same desire to just do boring things with the person you love, and it applies to david and lucy too. Like, what if they could have just lived that boring, normal life together?

Ignore tom nook in the corner lol. My island has a food/beverage theme going, and I know the obvious choice for cherry would have been...well...cherries. but she gives bartender/punk rock vibes, so I went in that direction. Planning to have her house near the beach, and design the outside to be like a beachside bar with cocktails and stuff☺️

  1. Judy - retro ice cream parlour

  3. Merengue - bakery

  4. Ketchup (ft. Tia) - fast food restaurant

  5. Marshal - sushi restaurant

  6. Sherb - candy/carnival home

  7. Tangy - convenience store

  8. Tia - teahouse

Cougars in RDR2: Every time i hear that ROWROWRAROW sound, I IMMEDIATELY enter fight or flight mode.

Renoir’s cane in expedition 33: Hearing the cane hit the ground just stresses me out so much cause I know some absolute fuckery is about to go down.

Clickers clicking in TLOU: takes years off my life every time. These fuckers give me the heebie jeebies.

Creepy BT sounds in Death Stranding (like..groaning/moaning? Hard to describe) followed by the Odradek just lighting up and slowly clapping as you walk through the BT area (or clapping quickly when u get too close to one): I swear, whenever this happens, I end up actually holding my breath IRL cause I get so caught up in the game. Creepy AF.

Piano music in Zelda BOTW: Guardians and instant panic for me because I always forget how to parry in situations where parrying is VERY NECESSARY.

Edit: Also, how could I forget: "I couldn't wait for you to come and clear the cupboards..."
