I’m starting to wonder if I’m the asshole for disinviting one of my friends from a trip after she told us she couldn’t afford to go. A few months ago 4 of my friends since I've known since grade school started planning a girls trip. We picked a destination, booked the air bnb, and agreed how much everyone would pay. That way we made sure everyone was in their budget. We all agreed that we were. Now literally two weeks before our trip one of my friends (let's call her Eve) said she can't afford to go. Mind you, the air bnb and plane tickets are already paid for and we've taken off from work in advance. I assumed everyone had already paid for their tickets. So today after I left work, I texted her and told her everyone was meeting at my house. We kind of suggested she sit this one out. I told her I swear if i had the extra money, I would pay for her and she could just pay me back. She left without saying a word. She hasn't spoken to anyone since today.
