Take small wins where you can!

Just wanted to pop on here and post why I’m proud of myself today! I’ve been struggling with emotional eating and have been struggling to lock back into my routine and it’s been super discouraging watching the scale keep going back up and feeling how my clothes are fitting tighter and tighter. I had a mentally taxing day today and made myself some comfort food pasta and had a glass of wine, about to settle in to that “what’s the point” mentality- but I remembered my goals and that small wins can compound to something huge if I’m consistent! So I’m up on my walking pad and will walk for an hour! That’s my small win that I’m proud of for today 🥹 I want to start posting and interacting in this subreddit more often for visibility and accountability so just wanted to share

Feels like summer ☀️

How I wore my wig to lunch last week! The restaurant asked to film me to for their website and I have to attribute that to the hairrrr 🥰🥹

THANK YOU for the recs!

I asked for a good clarifying shampoo and a lot of y’all suggested the Suave cleansing shampoo and I LOVE it!! I had so much buildup from using too much blue magic so I went to town with it and my hair feels sooo good and clean! I was worried about stripping my hair much so I followed up with this intense repair shampoo from Dove and my hair feels amazing. Thank you all for the recommendation. 🥰🤍

How to tone Wig at home as beginner

I ordered this wig and after looking at some of the reviews, the brown ombré looks really brassy and orange in some photos 😩. Is it possible to achieve something like the second and third pic at home through some sort of gloss or dye? I’ve never had colored hair so curious to know if it’s possible to do at home as a beginner!

I asked for advice in another subreddit and they tore me up

I’m fairly new to Reddit and I’m so glad my experience has been generally positive and I want to say it’s because of the black women communities I’m in. I asked for advice for the first time in the AIO subreddit and have never experienced such a group of angry individuals. People just coming for me to degrade me instead of give me actual critiques or another way of looking at things. I’ve definitely learned my lesson 😅- if I’m looking for advice, I’ll stay in communities that actually care.

How I wore my Glueless Wig this weekend 🍷♥️

Hosted a lil wine tasting event at my place and wanted to show y'all how I styled my wig for it  🥹 🥹 I wanted something soft + feminine, but still a little undone, so I tried a messy updo with face framing bangs and I’m so so happy with how it turned out!

I got the inspo from Pinterest and I used two claw clips (one large, one small) and bobby pins to make sure all of the hair in the back was secure!

I'm now a certified glueless wig warrior!! I'm already on the hunt for my next one. It's been such a game changer for me. I primarily wear my natural hair in mini twists or flat twists, so I'm able to take the wig off each night, moisturize my real hair underneath and put the wig back on when I'm ready to go out! No glue, no spray, no melting, just putting it on and going!!

**I suggest getting a lace tint that matches your skin tone to a T to make the lace blend in ***

Hosted a wine tasting event and paid under $30 for four bottles of wine! I wanted to practice hosting something like this, so wanted to start out with my favorite budget wines with complex notes (imo) and we had so much fun!! I greeted my guests with Cava when they arrived and went from the Vinho verde to the Rose to the Merlot!

Segura Viudas Brut Reserva Cava — $10.99

Savel Vinho Verde — $4.97

Big Sipper Rosé — $5.99

Hectare Merlot — $3.97

I know the things I should be doing to lose weight and feel better in my body. Eating Whole Foods, 10,000 steps a day, and following a fitness regimen. I was able to lose 9 pounds earlier in the year and was locked in! Unfortunately one week off turned into a month and a half and it’s really discouraging to be backsliding and looking at all of my progress diminish. I know what I need to do but for some reason it’s hard to just get back on track. Someone took a picture of me yesterday and seeing how swollen my face and stomach looks is really like a punch to the gut. Does anyone have any kind advice to get out of this funk and get back on track? How do you guys stay disciplined after falling off your routine?

My brother came back from South Korea with skincare products his friend picked out for me based on my skin concerns! I have combination skin and am prone to hormonal breakouts. I also was looking for products that helped combat dryness and dullness. I use some other products to keep the breakouts at bay, but I wanted to show the k-beauty products that I believe are contributing to my overall even skin tone and glow!

I live in America so my climate is pretty up and down as we’re currently in spring. It’s cold one day and then warm the next so these products have definitely helped with hydration and moisture.

I use the Rejuran cream and serum before bed and the glow shot and apple peel serum in the morning after my toner and before spf!

These products were gifts so I’m not too sure about the price, but hopefully I can get them shipped to America easily!

  1. Nacific - Glow Double Shot Mi

st: super refreshing and gives my skin a dewy glow

2.

  1. Rejuran - Healer Turnover Ampoule Dual

Effect: I use this at night for hydration and in conjunction with the cream

3. Rejuran - Healer Turnover Active Cream: My new favorite nighttime moisturizer. It’s the perfect consistency for me as I want something on the thicker side without feeling greasy

4. Sungboon Editor - Apple Peel Glow Skin: I use for my morning serum. A little goes a long way.
