What’s a romantic scenario you’ve always imagined happening to you?

What’s a romantic scenario you’ve always imagined happening to you?

Maybe meeting someone completely by chance, an enemies to lovers situation, or unexpectedly falling for someone you never thought you would. 😍

I’m curious what other INFPs have imagined.

What’s one thing you really want to accomplish before the year ends?

I would really like to find a new job before the year is over. What about you? It can be anything, big or small. I’d love to hear what everyone is working toward.

Have you ever realized you were blaming other people for a pattern you were actually creating?

I’ve had this uncomfortable realization lately. I used to think people got frustrated with me for no reason when I asked for help. I assumed they were just frustrated by my indecisiveness and didn’t understand me.

Then I realized my ADHD + straightforwardness made me rush conversations.

I’d get so focused on problem solving that I wouldn’t notice I was making people feel unheard or put on the spot. Now I’m trying to slow down, take in what they’re saying, and add my own ideas instead of jumping to the next question.

Made me wonder how many “this always happens to me” situations are actually patterns we’re unknowingly helping create.

How do you develop your weakest function?

I'm INFP and learning about MBTI has made me realize how much my inferior Te might be holding me back.

I often struggle to organize my thoughts, articulate what I mean, prioritize, make decisions, think objectively, and present my ideas clearly. I can have a thought that makes perfect sense in my head but struggle to put it into words.

Does anyone have any practical advice for developing Te as an INFP? Anything you’ve personally done that helped, exercises, habits, ways of thinking etc.

Would really appreciate any advice 🙏

Do you ever feel like you have to tone down your emotions around people?

I feel things so intensely, but I barely show 1% of it because I feel like the rest would overwhelm or scare people off. Maybe that’s why I’m so quiet and private.

Do other INFPs relate? And have you ever had a moment where it was really hard to hide how much you were feeling?

Do INFJs ever question if their beliefs are really their own?

I have been thinking about this lately. Sometimes I wonder how much of what I believe actually comes from me, and how much has been shaped by the people around me, society, family or just the way I was raised.

And even when you know what you believe, do you always live according to it?

Do you ever find yourself questioning your beliefs or noticing that the way you live doesn't completely match what you believe?

Why does ESTJ seem to be one of the most disliked MBTI types?

I made a post asking what types people tend to avoid and have been looking into it more since then. I keep noticing the same pattern: ESTJ consistently comes up as a type people struggle to get along with, even among types known for getting along with almost everyone.

What is the reason? Is there a way for ESTJs and people who struggle with them to understand each other better and get along?

How would your friends and family describe you?

If you asked the people closest to you to describe you, what do you think they’d say? And how accurate do you think their description would be?

I’ve heard INFJs sometimes experience a difference between how others perceive them and how they perceive themselves, so I’m curious whether you relate to that.

Do you avoid any MBTI types?

Have you ever found yourself avoiding or being more cautious around certain types after learning about MBTI? If so, which type and why?

What's a moment you're proud of where you know you made a difference?

I wonder if there’s a moment when you were there for someone, and later realized just how much of a difference it made in their life.

What’s a moment you still think about and feel proud that you were there?

Do INFPs and INFJs have different ideas about personal growth?

I’ve talked to quite a few INFJs, and one thing I genuinely love about them is how observant they are. They notice things most people completely miss, and I’m really drawn to that level of awareness.

But I’ve noticed we can clash when it comes to growth and self acceptance. Sometimes it feels like INFJs see flaws as things to analyze and fix. So when an INFP says, “I’m okay with this part of myself,” it can sound like “I don’t want to grow” or “I’m choosing stagnation.”

But especially when we’re vulnerable, sometimes we’re not asking for something to fix. We just want to feel accepted as we are right now. I don’t think acceptance and growth are opposites. You can accept yourself fully and still want to change, learn, and become your best version.

And honestly, I think there’s a difference between “I want to grow because I value myself” and “I need to improve because I’m not enough.” The second one can become a never ending loop. There’s always another flaw to fix and another version of yourself to chase.

Do other INFPs relate to this? Do you think self acceptance and growth can coexist?

Why do INFJs seem to struggle more with their sense of identity than ENFJs?

Both have Fe and care about personal growth, but INFJs seem more likely to question who they really are, what they actually want, and whether they're being authentic or adapting to others. Why do you think INFJs struggle with this more? Is it their Ni + Fe combination?

Do you ever change the way you explain something depending on the MBTI type you’re talking to?

You can have the exact same thought, but explain it completely differently to an INFP, ESTJ, or ENTP because you know they process things differently.

I’ve actually used AI to “translate” something I wrote so another MBTI type would understand it better and now I’m wondering if anyone else does this?

Do you ever change how you explain things depending on the type of person you’re talking to?

Does anyone else experience almost instant manifestation?

I keep reading about different manifestation techniques, and most people say you can manifest instantly, but then they’ll also say it will take a day or two.

For me, when I’m fully awake and genuinely relax, let go, and affirm something to myself, my manifestations sometimes show up within seconds. I don’t do SATS or anything while falling asleep, this happens while I’m completely awake.

It’s almost like there’s no waiting period at all.

Does anyone else experience this? I’d like to hear if anyone has had similar experiences.

Does anyone else not really relate to their own MBTI subreddit?

I go on my MBTI subreddit pretty often, but I feel like I don’t completely relate to the people there. I often find a lot of the posts and discussions kind of immature. I also feel like there isn’t that much depth sometimes, like people don’t really question things very deeply or think beyond the surface.

Because of that, I find myself drawn to other MBTI subreddits. I really like reading INTJ, INTP, ENFJ and INFJ posts, for example, even though I don’t completely relate to those types either. I can often find perspectives or discussions in those communities that I find more interesting or thought provoking than in my own type’s subreddit.

So I’m wondering if anyone else experiences this. Is it because people of the same type are too similar in certain ways, so you end up getting a lot of the same perspectives and ways of thinking, which can become limiting? Or is it because I’m just not completely one way or another and don’t fit neatly into my type, so I naturally relate to different types and perspectives?

Does anyone else feel like they identify with their MBTI type, but not necessarily with the people who are supposedly like them?
