Need suggestions

I’m expecting my second child and will be delivering in about two to three weeks. With my first child, I wasn’t prepared for breastfeeding challenges at all. He wasn’t able to latch properly, and at that time, I didn’t even know much about pumping or the different types of breast pumps available. After about two to three weeks, I bought a manual pump and tried pumping for around two months, but eventually I gave up and switched to formula, and naturally my milk supply reduced. This time, I really want to be better prepared. My first preference is definitely to nurse my baby directly, and I’m really hoping he will latch properly and that breastfeeding will go smoothly. However, I still want to have a good pump ready in case we have any latching problems or I need to pump for any other reason. My goal is to exclusively breastfeed, either directly or with expressed breast milk, for at least six to eight months. I’ve been doing a lot of research, but I’m honestly getting more confused. From what I understand, it’s recommended to have a primary pump, such as a Spectra or another hospital-grade pump, while wearable pumps are usually recommended as secondary pumps. I’m personally much more inclined towards a wearable because I’ll also have my older child around, so it may be difficult for me to sit in one place several times a day to pump. I would really prefer something portable that allows me to move around while still giving me good output and helping me establish and maintain my milk supply. However, I keep reading that wearable pumps may not empty the breasts as effectively as pumps like Spectra, especially when used frequently, and that this could eventually affect milk supply. That’s what is making the decision so difficult for me. I can’t really justify buying two expensive pumps right now, so I want to invest in just one good pump. I’m more inclined towards a wearable, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on one and then find that it isn’t emptying me properly or that my supply is dropping. I would really appreciate suggestions from anyone who has experience with this. Is there any wearable pump that is genuinely good enough to use as a primary pump and can perform close to a Spectra or other hospital-grade pump? Or, considering my previous breastfeeding experience and my goal of maintaining my supply, would I be better off investing in something like the Spectra or BabyBuddha and giving up some of the convenience of a wearable?

COMSATS Lahore changed my program preference — anyone else facing this?

I applied to COMSATS Lahore for Fall 2026 with an aggregate of 84%.
My program preferences were:
BS Computer Science
BS Software Engineering
BS Computer Engineering
However, I checked my portal and Computer Engineering has been removed/replaced with BS Economics with Data Science, which I never selected as one of my preferences. I have now been offered admission in Economics with Data Science.
I’m really confused about how COMSATS can change a program preference that I selected myself and replace it with a completely different degree.
Has this happened to anyone else applying to COMSATS Lahore this year? Did your original preference also disappear or get replaced with another program?
Also, with an 84% aggregate, is there still a realistic chance of getting Software Engineering in the later merit lists?

Extreme behaviors

My son is 5 years and 9 months old and has been taking risperidone for about a year. Around 2–3 months ago, we started noticing a significant change in his behavior. He has become much more aggressive, cranky, and prone to tantrums over almost everything. At first, we observed it because sometimes his behaviors worsen for a few weeks and then improve, but this has now been going on for nearly three months. He has developed a habit of hitting whenever things do not go his way. If he wants something and we do not give it to him, he starts hitting. If he does not want to do something and we insist, he starts hitting. Any situation that frustrates him or does not interest him can trigger a meltdown. He becomes extremely upset, screams at the top of his lungs, throws whatever toy or object is in his hand, and can be very difficult to calm down. His doctor recently increased his risperidone dose, but it has been three days and I honestly have not noticed any improvement so far. He is already receiving behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We have discussed these concerns with his behavioral therapists, but they rarely see these behaviors during sessions. We are also considering increasing his ABA therapy hours. Has anyone experienced something similar with their child? I would really appreciate any advice. I am feeling completely exhausted and overwhelmed. I am also expecting my second child, and during this time his behavior has been the most challenging it has ever been. I have never seen him like this before. It breaks my heart, and I feel like I am running out of energy trying to help him.

Pregnancy weight gain

I’m almost 14 weeks pregnant and I’ve already gained 10 kg (22 lbs). I honestly feel like I’m losing my mind over it. 😭

I’m trying so hard to eat healthy and stay mindful of my calories. Most days I’m between 1,500–1,800 calories, so I genuinely do not understand how the weight gain has been this extreme already. I expected some gain obviously, but not this much this early.

I’m not constantly overeating, I’m trying to make balanced choices, and yet the scale just keeps going up. I feel so confused and honestly kind of scared. Has anyone else experienced this in the first trimester/early second trimester? Did it level out later?

Please tell me I’m not alone or that this can still be normal because I’m spiraling a bit over here.
