the representation of prophet muhammad (pbuh) in hadith feels so insulting.

I posted a while ago that I was upset about people accusing him of being a pdf because of the aisha hadith, but I've seen many other hadiths where he is represented in such a horrible way that doesn't align at all with how much represented in the quran.

he's reported to be a war-monger and a murderer (bukhari 4028 and 25), an anti-semite (bukhari 3593), an endorser of the rape of captives (bukhari 5210), egotistical (bukhari 13), a sex maniac (bukhari 7:62:142), a misogynist (bukhari 7:62:124), a racist (bukhari 662), among many other things.

all of this just pushes me away from hadith more and more, this all feels so disrespectful to our prophet, how could they feel so comfortable depicting him in such a way??

I feel like muslims (atleast online) have really bad pr right now 😭😭

there are so many online sheikhs, dawah bros, and muslim men going viral spewing their extremely problematic (misogynistic, racist, etc) opinions online, it leads to people hating islam and muslims or leaving islam. they just give us a horrible rep.

it's getting so much harder to defend muslims nowadays, and I'm so tired being associated with these people. anyone else feel the same way? 💔💔

feeling heartbroken over people accusing our prohet of being a pdf

I know that it's not true as I've done alot of research, but since it's written down in a "sahih hadith" that our prophet married a 6-9 year old, people (especially nonmuslims) think it's complete facts. and if you try to explain otherwise they call you an "apologist" or smth. 🫩🫩

and then it's even worse when it's muslims themselves perpetuating this idea, and even saying "guys it was normal back then!!!!" instead of just being open to the idea that it MIGHT be false.

so much so that this hadith is pretty much tied to the reputation of islam, everytime someone talks well about islam some mf in the comments would be like "ermmm didn't your prophet literally marry a child????" and I'm just so sick of it, man.

it really breaks my heart that this is the reputation that our beloved prophet and religion have.

which hadith made you start questioning hadith books?

for me it was the aisha hadith, I looked through multiple sources that provided evidence that this hadith is likely false and fabricated for political and sectarian reasons. so I started to think about which other hadiths could've been fabricated as well. (+ asking Allah for guidance and reading the quran also helped.)

just heard the dumbest take ever 😭😭😭

so I know that alot of quran-centric/only muslims don't believe in the dajjal (I personally am still looking into it), and alot of sunnis are very confused about that.

so I saw someone online and they were questioning "hmm why ISN'T the dajjal mentioned in the quran?" and their conclusion was basically that "yeah Allah didn't mention the dajjal in the quran so that those idiot quranists don't know about him, while us super intelligent and enlightened sunnis will know when he comes, while the quranists follow him because they don't know about him."

and again, I'm still looking into it myself but like.. isn't the more logical conclusion that Allah didn't mention him in the quran because... he's not real/important??

like the quran says over and over that it's perfect, it contains every possible example, nothing is left out of it, and it needs no supplication. and yet I'm constantly seeing sunnis be like "yeah Allah left out some things in the quran for whatever reason, and we need the hadith to complete it!!!"

it feels like these people just don't actually trust Allah or His book at this point..

why are quran-only/centric muslims so hated and called kaffir so much??

I've been seeing an influx of posts online, even from muslim creators that I liked, complaining about quran-only muslims. saying that they're kuffar, leading people astray, making up their own islam, they'll follow dajjal on the day of judgement, etc etc. (some even say that rejecting even ONE hadith makes you a kaffir!!)

and I genuinely don't understand why they have such a problem with us?? like why are we so hated in the wider muslim community? (genuinely asking) it feels so isolating ngl.

what do you like about islam/what's your favourite thing about it?

for me, I love the spiritual aspects of islam (prayer, dhikr, dua) and having a personal connection to my creator. I love how Allah tells us to stand for justice and equality, to help one another, and to seek knowledge.

what about you? :)

give me a break, man 🫩🫩🫩

I'm so sick of these so-called "feminists" infantalizing us. like yeah good on you for making us out to be stupid brainwashed idiots who cannot possibly make choices for ourselves, this is EXACTLY what we muslim women need right now. 🫩🫩🫩🫩

I wish both islamophobes and ultra-conservative salafi muslims would just shut up.

on one hand you got the super condescending "you're so close to getting it!!! 🥺🥺🥺" from self-righteous athiests/ex muslims everytime you point out any form of toxicity and harm in the muslim community, cause these idiots can't bother to just go on google and do their own research and learn about what the religion actually teaches, and they can't handle any interpretation of our scripture that isn't the most conservative and oppressive one.

and on the other hand you have salafi chuds calling you a kaffir who's going to rot in the deepest pits of jahannam because you refuse to listen to every single word that comes out of a scholar's mouth regardless of how immoral it is.

I'm so sick of this shit, being a rational muslim is genuinely the worst.

(btw just to clarify I have no problems with athiests or ex muslims talking about their bad experiences with religion or critiquing religions, I'm talking about ones that just spread misinformation.)
