Starting to make things.

I decided to start properly my wargaming journey with konflikt 47, I’m a ttrpg player and I need a story for my army. This is the turret of a Matilda 2 I found online and modified to make it a tesla and afterwards I decided that needed something else so I attached 2 pieces of pla filament as the piping like the other tanks. A bit of digital and traditional kitbashing. The turret is far from finished, but I needed to prime it quickly to see better what is going on. Hopefully little by little I will cobble together an interesting army.

P.s. if anyone is interested I actually posted on thingiverse the remix of the original turret, obviously is not perfect because I’m not a 3d modeller

I think I bought something interesting and pretty rare

This pictures are from the vinted post I bought it from because i already have put it in my storage not to damage it further and I forgot to take pictures. This is a 1902 Waltham (11920791) that according to my research is a factory modified (or something like that) movement. I got it for cheap (35€ including shipping and fees if someone is wondering) because it’s pretty broken and unfortunately the balance is broken. I know is missing some bits, but some of them shouldn’t be too hard to get.

I believe is a railroad watch, but one used for some testing. At the moment I’m just very happy to owning this thing because I was looking for years for a railroad movement and I don’t care if it’s broken and most likely not used on a train.

If someone is a Waltham expert every information is appreciated to get more info on this lovely thing.

Just received 24 of this boyz

Last week I bought online a lot of 31 boyz for 24,30€. 24 of them are the cool 2nd edition boyz and the rest are generic mid 2000s orks. Unfortunately one of the 24 is missing an arm, but 3d printing can fix it.

I’m not sure yet if I want to keep them all though, maybe some will be traded to a couple of friends for their armies

Doesn’t it look very cool in green resin?

Slightly after purchasing an original one I found the 3d model online while looking for some ancient scans of 2nd edition things. For some reason looks insanely cool in the green translucent. I decided to print it to compare it to the original when arrives

Does a 3d model of the old Ghazghkull actually exists?

I wanted to print a scaled up version of the old ghazghkull because i’m not a big fan of the current one, but I can’t find anything. I have found the very first ghaz and the current one, at this point I’m wondering if the model of the old ghaz actually exists

Would you be interested in some Bialetti anecdotes?

I just found this sub and my grandfather worked in Bialetti and he was a very important employee to Mr Bialetti. I have a lot of anecdotes of back than. I have to ask him exactly the time period because I can’t remember it exactly on top of my head.

Is bathtub gin any actually just infused or a redistitlaton?

I was trying to research bathtub gin and I’m a bit confused because a lot of sources are telling that is just a shitty gin made with what they had, but a bunch of other sources are saying is cheap alcohol infused and diluted. Is it both or the term bathtub gin refers to any shit illegal gin and gin like spirits?

Are those 40 euros tiny 1 or 2 litres oak barrels any good?

I wanted to do a little experiment with again and while researching a bit on small barrels i have found small oak cooperd barrels for very cheap, cheaper than a badmo or a ten30, especially because i’d have to import them to Italy.

I would like to try aging gin for an experiment because it’s legal, there are some other things like whisky making that are technically illegal and I’m figuring out the legal way to do it. I’m looking for those small barrels because anything more than 3 litres is illegal to distill and i want to try small scale

Has anyone tried or has an opinion about those tiny coopered barrels?

I pick up my paper white signature 11 after awhile and because wasn’t behaving correctly (almost always had odd issues) I decided to update from 5.12.x to 5.18.1 and attempt adbreak. Obviously while attempting to enable ads the bloody bastard update itself to 5.19.2. On the old firmware was jailbroken, how screwed am I?

I wanted to play around with some features and ended up with a registered Kindle not jailbreakable.

Now I still don’t have the ads and I’m stuck. Should I wait for some news in the jailbreak community or can I actually do something to get I back? I know for a fact there is a serial connection that can be soldered in and wouldn’t be a problem to do, I just need the serial to usb adapter in the thing is actually doable
