Japanese Beetles (Kanata)

There is hope against these invasive species! My vines, particularly my grapevine, were being skeletonized. There was nearly no vines at all to speak of, & the grapes were awful because they were deprived of nutrition.
Last year, I killed about one thousand all throughout the warm months. Some I squished, but I used the ‘picking’ method of pushing them into a shallow dish of soapy water. Mornings, & evenings are best when they’re less active. I would collect fifty a day sometimes. This year so far, I have killed fifty-one total. My vines look healthy, & great!
I’m in Kanata South~Glen Cairn.
A female Japanese beetle typically lays about fifty eggs in her lifetime , so each one removed makes an huge impact to our ecosystem.

Kanata Residential Parking: By-Law marketing then ticketing cars in Glen Cairn.

*marking
Hello r/Kanata!

So I live on a nice sleepy little street in Glen Cairn. My street does not connect to any other busy streets. It is off of a very busy road, with a stop sign most people drive through :/ between two other super busy roads. It’s a cozy neighborhood close to absolutely everything. Not really close enough to much if you parked here. Although somewhat close enough if you absolutely had to for some unusual reason. Drivers on my street are just residents, & delivery vehicles.

Anyways, neighbour tells me that all of a sudden our snoozy little street has been getting tires marked by By-Law, & one ticket has been issued! Street gossip from the neighbour telling me all of this says that Dude is mad about the ticket. Obviously.

So regale me, what is happening in Glen Cairn? Is this happening on your street, too? Why is this happening all of a sudden? Does a three-hour parking rule truly exist here? Does that even make any common sense?? I could see enforcing it on the street with the stop sign most people feel is optional however.

Sub-Note: please stop at the stop sign. A nearby neighbour got hit while walking her dogs; a dog died onsite, another later , & the owner was extremely hurt.

Thanks!
