Help with top surgery
Hi, I’m Fynn and I’m raising money for my top surgery.
Honestly, I never thought I would have to create a GoFundMe to pay for my medical care. My original plan was to have the surgery covered by my health insurance. Unfortunately, getting coverage has been much more difficult than expected, and despite my efforts to have the surgery covered, I’m now facing the possibility of having to pay for it myself.
Top surgery is an important step in my transition. It would allow me to feel much more comfortable in my body and significantly improve my quality of life. Things that other people rarely have to think twice about – clothes, seeing their body in the mirror, or simply going about everyday life – are often associated with dysphoria for me. Having this surgery would make a huge difference.
I have now received a cost estimate, and my top surgery is expected to cost around €8,000.
This is an amount I simply can’t afford on my own. I work part-time in a care home for people with dementia, and I don’t have the income or savings to pay several thousand euros for surgery. Even if I saved every euro I possibly could, it would take me a very long time to afford it.
Asking for help isn’t particularly easy for me, but that’s why I’ve decided to create this fundraiser.
My goal of €8,000 is intended to cover the cost of my top surgery and the medical expenses directly associated with it. If the actual costs change or my health insurance unexpectedly agrees to cover part of the treatment, I will update this fundraiser accordingly and be completely transparent about it.
I completely understand that not everyone has money to spare. Even €5 or €10 can bring me a little closer to my goal, and simply sharing this fundraiser would help me as well.
More than anything, I just want the chance to have this surgery without having to come up with money that I simply don’t have or spending years trying to save enough to afford it.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this, share my fundraiser, or support me financially. It truly means a lot to me. ❤️
