Cost to Re-upholster this mess?

Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place for this!
I've had this chair second hand for 20 years. In that time my cats have done significant damage to it.
(Yes I have scratching posts all over the place, but anyone with a cat knows how weird they are.)

I was hoping to fix up the chair, but only the damaged areas, leaving the pillow, backrest, and inner arm sections intact.

I was also wondering if anyone had any fabric suggestions that are nice looking but much tougher, to hopefully prevent this level of damage in the future.

Sorry again if this is the wrong spot for this conversation!

I made a Wind Chime! (That doesn't jingle 😅)

Had a lot of fun with this, it was a good way to channel my new-found love for the series! I lowkey wish the bells actually jingled more, and I didn't have any dark purple beads (that matched the beads I used for the other girls), for Agott. 😔

(If you want to see the process its on my insta: @ tikii66i)

I put myself into WHA! Art by me!

I know red is worn by the Knights Moralis, but its my favorite color, I couldn't resist! (The OG sketch and the final design were done a few days apart, in which I learned about the triangular silhouette thing.)

If anyone is interested in the speedpaint, I put that on instagram. @ tikii66i

Mold? Is it un-salvageable?

There’s this odd crumbling on these two colors of my HIMI gouache. I’ve had mold issues before (RIP 3 colors), but this is different.

The container has been sealed to the best of its ability for a few months. The gouache is a few years old. (Let’s call it 2.5)

And before anyone says anything, yes I’m aware this gouache is drier than Death Valley.

Colorwork Catastrophe

I just learned how to do basic knitting a week ago. To keep my motivation up, I decided to try and make a color work scarf. I understand the basic idea of color work and I know when doing 2 colors you keep one on the left and one on the right, but I don’t know what to do with 4 and it feels like it’s just becoming a tangled mess! Does anyone have any tips?

Please let me know if you need better pictures to see my monstrosity better.

Looking for an entertaining book on the non-fiction mythological history of dragons!

Pretty much the title! Preferably I'd like a book thats interesting and not just rattling off facts like: "In 1523 Jeff the Daydreamer described seeing the first blue dragon." I'm also not against middle grade books at all, but I would rather something more robust and history oriented. Sorry if I'm being too picky, just knock me off my high horse if you need to.

The Fallen Angel Parallel

While watching that final scene of Sergei and The Chief Designer crying in the back of the truck, I noticed there was a shot vaguely similar to this painting. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this, or if anyone more versed in the meanings of art has any thoughts on this possible correlation?

Is there a way to fix these N-gons without re-doing my model?

I was just making this model and rigging it for practice/fun, but I know I should be avoiding n-gons like these. I know I can probably recreate the model without n-gons, but I feel like these sections will be ever more squared off, which is not something I want. I've tried the multi cut tool, but its not quite doing what I want it to. I've been using Maya for about 6 months, but have mostly focused on animation, so my modeling is....very flawed to say the least.

tldr: I'm happy with how my model looks but the geometry is bad for rigging and animation. I would like to fix this easily but I have minimal experience in maya.

Brush Position Off

In the middle of working today I randomly came across this issue, where the brush is slightly off from the little crosshair. I updated Krita yesterday, but it was working fine until now. Its not my pen or tablet, the pen is matching up fine with the crosshair. I was wondering if there was some kind of random setting that might be causing this? (Its not just this brush!)
