How easy would it be to replace this lock?

How easy would it be to replace this lock? It got broken probably due to aging and one of my brother’s friend came and help us put a temporary fix, so we could use it, as the door was not closing anymore.

He said that we should change the whole door, but I was wondering if only the locks can be changed. As changing the whole door would be way too expensive.

To change it, what would we need and how difficult would it be? Is it something I can do by myself or should we call a professional?

LRC or LR as a complete beginner

I am a total beginner when it comes to photography. I just got my first camera and I went out yesterday to take some pictures around my area.

As complete beginner, what should I start with for ease, enjoyment and understanding? Should I start with LR and then maybe move to LRC or not move at all? Or just start by learning LRC directly?

I managed to get LRC and when I opened it, it looks outdated and hard to learn…? 😅

LR looks easier to navigate and go about as a beginner, but I am just wandering what path I should follow.

My goal is to really get good with photography and improve my skills.

Osmo Pocket 3 White Balance

I have a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. I recently bought some ND filters, when I’m out and about or even inside for headshots videos, what should the White balance be and other settings, to have the best quality, specially shooting in d-log?

My A6400 arrived. Now what?

I finally went for the A6400 with the kit lens and the 50mm/1.8 Sony E-Mount lens.

I am a total beginner but I really want to learn and get good at photography. My initial preference would be street photography, as is something I’ve always loved, and learn how to take nice portraits for my fiancée.

Now that I have the cam, any advice/recommendation on where and how to start?

Thanks! Not been this excited for a very long time

What camera should I go for?

(1) Budget, country, and currency:
£700–£1,300 budget (including at least one lens if possible)
United Kingdom (GBP)

(2) What equipment, if any, do you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?
I currently own a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
It’s still meeting my needs for vlogging, travel videos, casual content, and quick run-and-gun shooting.

However, I want to get into photography seriously, learn manual camera settings, use interchangeable lenses, and have more creative control. I also want to improve my videography, cinematography, and colour grading skills.

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?

Photography:
Street photography
Travel photography
Portraits
Everyday life
Landscapes when travelling

Video:
Travel films
Cinematic B-roll
Storytelling content
Short films
Talking-head videos

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Both.
Right now I would say photography is slightly more important because I’m a complete beginner and want to learn it properly.

However, I also want a camera that gives me room to grow as a videographer and learn colour grading, cinematic shooting, and editing.

The two cameras I’m considering are the Sony A6400 and Sony ZV-E10 II.

Given that I already own a Pocket 3, which would you recommend and why? Which camera would help me grow the most as both a beginner photographer and videographer?

Sony ZV-E10 II vs A6400 for a beginner

Budget: £700–£1,300 (body + lens if possible)

Country: United Kingdom

Condition: New

Type of Camera: Mirrorless APS-C

Intended use: Learning photography seriously while also developing videography skills over the next few years

If photography; what style: Street photography, travel, portraits, everyday life, and general photography as a beginner

If video what style: Cinematic videos, travel films, B-roll, storytelling, colour grading practice, and occasional talking-head content

What features do you absolutely need: Good autofocus, interchangeable lenses, strong image quality, room to grow in both photography and video, decent low-light performance

Portability: Important but not critical. I’m happy to carry a small camera and lens when travelling.

Cameras you’re considering: Sony ZV-E10 II vs Sony A6400

Cameras you already have: DJI Osmo Pocket 3

Notes:

I’m a complete beginner in photography but I want to invest time into learning it properly. At the same time, I’m very interested in videography, cinematography, editing, and colour grading.

I already own a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, which I use for vlogging and casual video, so I’m not necessarily looking for another dedicated vlogging camera.

My main question is:

Which camera would help me grow in both photography and videography?

The A6400 seems like the better photography camera because of the EVF and more traditional shooting experience. But is an older camera and from what I have seen, it uses a micro usb and it has older menu and is a bit laggy with the connection and transfer?

The ZV-E10 II seems like the better video camera because of the newer sensor, 10-bit video, S-Log3, LUT support, and newer processor.

If you were starting from scratch today and already owned a Pocket 3, which would you choose and why?
