Is this possible?

I gave birth in August of 2024. I stopped breast feeding in October of 2025. Around June of this year I started noticing my hair was feeling different. It was very mushy and felt like something was eating away at it. Now I have significant breakage and hair loss around the front of my hairline with a small bal spot. Is it possible that this is another phase of postpartum hair loss? My hair maintained its postpartum thickness and length up until May of this year. I did shed after I gave birth but my hair remained super full and dense with no breakage or bald spots. I also had a super stressful summer with planning a family reunion and being the target of family anger because of it. 😔 I just don’t know if having true postpartum shedding this late is possible or if I should see a dermatologist.

Work Appropriate

Hi! Be honest, is my hair inappropriate for work? I’m hiding in my classroom because I loved my hair when I envisioned it but now I’m concerned it may be too much. I work in a high school in the suburbs. I‘m afraid it looks childish.

SLP+HAD

I am a full time SLP at a High School that I love working at. I plan to work here until retirement hopefully. I want to pursue a career in HAD to broaden ability to help my community with a growing aging population. I finish work at 2:30pm and I’m considering the IHS course for training. Is it possible to work in this field part-time a few hours after school? Also, if an apprenticeship is required in my state (Georgia) would I be able to complete the hours on a part time schedule? I don’t want to leave my job to complete an apprenticeship, but before I invest in training I want to make sure I can work in the field in the evenings only or during breaks.

Am I overthinking?

My almost 2yo is a true social butterfly, he is the most charismatic child I’ve ever met. He started daycare two weeks ago and seems to be doing well. His teachers adore him and look forward to seeing him everyday. However, I’m worried that he’s a lonely little fellow. Since he was about a year old he would play with the little pictures printed on his bed sheet, I think one set is a kid in an airplane and another set has puppies. Yesterday, while folding clothes I caught a glimpse of him putting all of his animal puzzle pieces upright. He‘s never done this before at home, and it could be nothing but my instincts are telling me it’s something to pay attention to, I just don’t know what. Could he be lonely and he has them looking back at him as a way to connect with them? I could definitely be over thinking this but my gut tells me otherwise. I know a sibling won’t guarantee a less lonely life (I’m currently at odds with my only sibling) but I’m afraid I could be doing more for him socially.

Considering Private Practice

I‘ve worked in almost all settings except acute care and SNF and I’m currently in the high school setting. I love working with high schoolers but I noticed a huge gap in care for young adults who are too old for high school and too independent for home health. I want to start a telehealth practice specializing in this population to improve independence etc. I have two potential clients, one is willing to pay out of pocket, the other wants to use insurance before his son ages out at 26. What is a good out of pocket rate in Georgia? for the other client what steps should I take in order to be credentialed with his father’s insurance? Should I purchase SimplePractice with a clientele this small? Or is there another platform you can recommend for a brand new practice with $0 to spare? Anything else I should think about and consider before opening my doors?

Daycare with Early Hours

Hi, my almost 2 year old will need a daycare this July when my husband and I go back to work. we are both High School teachers and we need a center that opens at 6:00am. there are many in the area that do not open until 6:30 but we will be late for work if we do drop off at 6:30. We are looking for something in the Lawrenceville/Dacula/Grayson area so anything past the Sugarloaf and Grayson Hwy intersection headed towards Dacula would be ideal.

I got the third piercing almost exactly two months ago. I think I got it pierced on 3/11. It does not hurt unless I push the earring from behind. I also saw my first real crusty earlier this week which shocked me because we are at 8 weeks. I have a toddler that likes to wrestle and he always gets me with a kick to the ears which hurts like crazy. I’m wondering if we pierced too close to the cartilage and it’s going to take ages to heal. I usually wear very large earrings so I wanted this one spaced out so it can peak through when I have on big statement earrings. I also have a beach vacation planned but now I’m worried I won’t be able to swim in the beach if this thing is not fully healed. It’s not red or inflamed or hot. I can spin the earring around easily with no pain, but it hurts when I touch the back (1/10) and of course when I take a kick to the head (6/10).
