BAD GRINDHOUSE MOVIE REVIEW : The Last House On Dead End Street (1973)
For this week's bad grindhouse movie review, we are looking at an ultra low budget, horror film which pretends to be a snuff film : The Last House on Dead End Street (1973). A really sleazy horror flick directed by crazed filmmaker Roger Watkins. This is considered one of the most controversial, one of the most infamous and violent movies ever made. Some people wonder if it was actually a real snuff film (it's not) And you know what ? What an awful movie!
After being released from prison, a flatulent young gangster decides to punish society by making snuff films.
5 BEST HORROR MOVIE REMAKES
While many despise the idea of remaking a movie that has already been made, I personally am totally not against it. As long as its done right and brings new material and some fresh new ideas to the table. And when it comes to the horror genre, there are more than just a handful of horror movies which have been treated to their very own remake throughout the years. So without further a du, here are 5 classic horror movie remakes which I consider to be better made and more entertaining that the originals movies which preceeded them. Time for a horror movie ranking !
BAD GRINDHOUSE MOVIE REVIEW : Hollywood Chainsaw Hoookers (1988) - with Gunnar Hansen!
Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers (1988)! A cheap and ludicrous homage to the classic horror gem Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and even has actor Gunnar Hansen in the supporting role. But what an awful movie!
A detective embarks on a mission to track down a woman in L.A.'s seedy nightclubs, only to come face-to-face with a blood-thirsty cult of lethally beautiful prostitutes. Is he the next victim of the demented Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers?
BAD GRINDHOUSE MOVIE REVIEW : I Drink your Blood (1970) - Satanic hippies on LSD
I Drink your Blood from 1970. It's a quentessential grindhouse, exploitation horror flick. Low budget, full of cheap looking gore effects... And loads of bad acting... What an awful movie!
A group of Satanic hippies, high on LSD, wreak havoc on a small town where a young boy whose sister and grandfather were victimized by them tries to get even...with deadly results.
For this week's bad grindhouse movie review, we are reviewing another film by Floridian B-movie director William Grefé, Mako : the Jaws of Death (1976). I am no stranger to William Grefé's works, as he also directed the awful Sting of Death (1965) and The Death Curse of Tartu (1966)... This movie is his answer to Jaws and tries to portray sharks as more docile creatures... and doesn't achieve that. What an awful movie!
A Vietnam veteran with a psychic connection to sharks discovers their exploitation by the local aquarium and begins an underwater reign of terror to avenge them. The movie action scenes were shot using real sharks.
I'm reviewing a low budget, mystery horror movie produced by Poverty Row studios (again...): The Corpse Vanishes (1942). Starring, once more, acting horror legend Bela Lugosi as a crazed, mad scientist. How original... What an awful movie!
A scientist, played by horror actor Bela Lugosi, aided by an old hag and her two sons, kills virginal brides, steals their bodies, and extracts gland fluid to keep his ancient wife alive and young.
