How to run a free book promo when book is in Ingram?

I'm trying to run a free book promo for one of my ebooks. KDP requires a book be enrolled in KDP Select to run a free promo, which I am not. My book is in Ingram, which also doesn't allow me to set the price to free.

Is there a way to pause distribution in Ingram so I can enrol the book in KDP Select? Or is there some other way to run a free promo? Thank you for your advice!

Hour 2 of the Hillcrest Power Outage

My dearest friend,

I hope this letter finds you in better circumstances than it finds me. At precisely 8.16AM, the electricity in this home was snuffed out. There was no warning, no reason, no cause to believe this would happen, nor that we would have to endure for so long.

We are in the second hour, and still, I endure.

Fear not, though, dearest friend, for we of the Hillcrest are resourceful and resilient. Those of us who were expecting to spend this fair Tuesday in meetings as we worked from home have instead rediscovered hotspots and modestly charged powerbanks. We have faith that these will sustain us through these dark times, though we know not how long we must endure.

The WEL website says we must persist for another two hours. I refresh it constantly, as if in so doing, the outlook might change. I do not know that my batteries will last this long, but I must have faith.

The true test of morale was after the morning shower when it became clear no toast and no coffee would be forthcoming. Some of us have evacuated to seek out the calming shelter of a nearby bakery, but not I, for I had a 9AM meeting that I needed to try and reach.

I did not. Lord protect me, but I did not.

I pray, dearest friend, that you never need endure such hardship. May your refrigerator remain ever humming and your wifi ever reliable. I cherish the memories of these things as I remain, lingering in darkness and uncertainty. Perhaps the WEL shall redeem me soon, or perhaps I must malinger. Know, though, that I will always think of you.

Farewell, dear friend. Farewell from Hillcrest.

EDIT: We have entered the third hour, and truly, hope is scant. My bladder is nearing full, but with the lights out, I dare not chance the consequences of a visit to the necessary, for who knows what horrors might await. I must instead wait and hope that these dark times will pass us by. Those of us who briefly evacuated to a nearby bakery have returned, but could not bear the burden of enough coffee for everyone. May you never have to live to see such terrible times.

EDIT: Oh, hey! The power's back on. That was quick. :D

Recommendations for epistolary novels?

Hello! I'm looking for epistolary sci-fi, so novels that, rather than following traditional narrative prose, are instead structured as letters, witness statements, blog posts, something along those lines. I thought of World War Z as the big example, as well as This is how You Lose the Time War, but I was wondering if there were any others people could recommend. Most of what I've found isn't sci-fi, unfortunately. Thank you so much!
