Hi all! So I wanted to commission a cover to get mixed professionally by someone in the near future, but I have absolutely no idea what to expect from the process. I know it probably varies from person to person, but has anyone here gone that route? What was it like? Did you record the cover before commissioning, or did the person work with you to do so? Specifically asking about VGen artists, but would love to hear your experiences if you found them elsewhere too

Me and my Roommate have just received the Census, but it’s asking questions about Sexuality that we don’t think we can answer honestly.

We live in a very small town. As in, official population is less than 75 and two responses as anything ”queer” will be very visible and very quickly lead back to us if the general public can see the results for the specific town.

In the same boat, we dont want to lie. These Census‘s exist for a reason, and we _know_ for a fact theres at least one other queer person in our community who is a minor and can’t make this decision for themselves. We don’t want to misrepresent our town, we are members of it still and to intentionally lie feels almost like fraud.

I don’t know. It’s our first time being old enough to respond to these ourselves. What would you guys do?

But since I have this laptop has been slower than a Chromebook running 30 instances of Blender. Windows wasn't fast per say, but it ran everything I needed to, was pretty quick to open files and programs, and considering I was a file hoarder up until very recently buddy was probably operating much better than he should have before changing OS

Honestly I had more than a few hiccups installing Ubuntu, so I honestly I wouldn't be super surprised if this is fault of an installation error. My laptop has significantly less used storage than before, only the bare essential programs, and still runs like shite when Windows was working completely fine

Here's my system info as well if it helps. He's getting a little old now, so clown on me all you want, but again he was relatively fast before Ubuntu and now it takes 15 seconds to open a new tab and theres about a 1 in 3 chance any given program will crash within 5 minutes of opening

Basically, I love the concept of Linux and _really_ don’t want to move back to Windows if I can at all help it, but in practice I just can seem to use it for what I need

A lot of the programs I need are Windows exclusive, and even when they have a port (official or unofficial) 9 times out of 10 I either can figure out how to install the thing or it crashes almost immediately upon use

Is there something else I can try? A different Distro? An Emulator that wont explode my laptop? I’ve looked around for different programs native to Linux but some of them I just can’t replace. I’m currently on Ubuntu if it helps

Had a bioreactor and removed it after getting nuclear plant, but now thinking it good to have both. Would rather base draw power from Bioreactor first though

Do i have to deconstruct the nuclear plant completely to move it to the end of power priority, or does partially work?
