Kadishalynn: David’s family possibly in town the week Celeste died
David mentions to Celeste when discussing their last meeting that his family is about to be visiting him. The video also mentions images being deleted including ones from the 1000 thieves (day after Celeste’s death, pre dismemberment) that show him with his sister. In court they mentioned he called his family right after the murder

• Facility Conditions: Twin Towers is noted as the nation's largest mental health facility and is often used for high-profile cases or inmates requiring special housing (3:13 - 3:55). While generally considered better than the traditional LA County Jail, the facility has faced scrutiny over safety and constitutional concerns (2:11 - 2:48).
• Housing and Safety: Due to his celebrity status and the nature of the charges, Burke is held in a single cell in Tower 1, section 142 (10:55 - 11:15). He is monitored 24/7, with limited movement outside his cell, always under the supervision of a sheriff's sergeant (11:17 - 11:27, 12:39 - 13:03).
• Daily Routine: His day is highly regimented, centered around meal times—a cold breakfast/lunch and one warm meal at dinner (14:38 - 14:49, 15:06 - 15:45). He has access to basic necessities and legal materials, though items like writing utensils are restricted to prevent self-harm or weapon creation (13:31 - 14:31).
• Mental and Behavioral Adjustment: Despite the intense environment, reports suggest Burke has had no behavioral infractions and has been cooperative (18:28 - 18:40). Dr. DeWayne Hendrix, a retired senior warden, notes that while the lack of in-person family visits is likely difficult, his legal team would be advising him to remain calm to avoid prejudicing his case (19:31 - 20:46).
'A Soulless Demon': D4vd's Path From Pop Star to Accused Killer
rollingstone.comToxicology report process
The first round is just screening for possible substances that should be further tested in the next phase . ELISA involves exposing the sample to antibodies that correspond to the chemical you are testing for. A color change occurs when they bind. But false positives are common because other things can probably bind to the antibody as well and trigger a color change (among other reasons like procedural errors or contamination)
The second round of testing is confirmatory via a form of spectrometry. Basically what happens here is the sample is broken apart and all of the components are separated by mass and it creates a unique chemical fingerprint that identifies a chemical with much more certainty than the ELISA done in the screening phase. The elisa is done first because it takes less time and you can run a bunch of tests at the same time vs the spectrometer is slower and goes one at a time. This phase normally gives a quantitative amount for positives
The INC next to the two that screened at presumptive positive means there may have been traces or an error but it wasn’t enough to quantify since positives in the confirmation phase normally give an amount of the substance found.
(Speculation) Probably because of the advanced state of decomposition. Or maybe because she had it in her system but wasn’t actively high so it was a low concentration?
Either way with the inconclusive for those two it probably can’t be argued for either way in court based off this tox report
TLDR
Step 1: color change test (qualitative)
Step 2: quantitative result

D4vd 'free' to make plea offer ahead of murder trial: DA | Jesse Weber Live
Most ppl didn’t like it when I mentioned the idea of him pleading guilty at the last minute but I still think it’s possible especially after these preliminary hearings.
I went to jury duty myself recently and the lady told us that it’s extremely common for defendants to change their plead to guilty AS THE JURY ARE WALKING INTO THE JURY BOX TO START THE TRIAL and they all get sent home literally waiting hours to minutes before trial to change plea smh

Another Taylor Parise update

UPDATE: We are now on another 15 minute recess. Both the prosecution and the defense have rested. Beth Silverman asked for time to gather her notes before final arguments.
In the final moments of Blair Berk's cross-examination, she pushed that there is not video evidence or data showing what Celeste and David were doing between 10:10 p.m. and 10:31 p.m. on April 23, 2025, the time Celeste is believed to be killed.
Berk asked whether investigators found any text messages or other digital evidence showing what Celeste and David were doing afterward at 10:11 p.m., after confirming the drop-off time, Farrell responded, "Correct," indicating there was no such evidence.
Berk then said there was not any electronic communications or text messages between 10:11 p.m. and 10:31 p.m. confirming what the pair were doing. Farrell again answered, "Correct."
Berk also asked whether investigators determined that David Burke was away from the home during the day on April 23. Farrell replied, "I don't know." When Berk followed up by asking whether Burke's activities that day had been investigated, Farrell again said he did not know.
Berk then noted that investigators were aware of text messages between Celeste and David indicating Burke was away from the home during the day, attending an Interscope meeting. Farrell confirmed, saying, "Yes," saying he was aware of the meeting.
Berk said no more questions. When given the opportunity to respond, Silverman established why no video evidence existed. She asked Farrell to clarify this, and Farrell said because of the amount of time that passed while the body had been concealed, video evidence was not available when the investigation began. Silverman had nothing further to add.
DAVID's REACTION:
During Detective Farrell's testimony, Burke stared straight ahead while texts were read, looking at the screen in that notable casual manner. Strangely, while defense was cross-examining Farrell, Burke remained looking down through most of Blair Berk's questions to Farrell.
